You can pull wall to wall on a tank if you want to and the Trust healer will keep you alive assuming you are rotating cooldowns correctly
Whenever I've tried this I just end up dying because the healer lags behind, presumably from the moment I aggro the first enemies because they keep stopping and trying to cast.

And as pointed out, there's really little reason to do this because the trusts don't AoE, so about all it's good for is padding your tank parse in a run where no other human players are present to notice anyway.

Probably in part they were doing the first dungeon where everyone was using old gear. Once people geared up a bit the wall to wall pulls came back in force.
Nope, this was happening to me even when as well geared as I could be. You can't really outgear these dungeons.

Part of that tank learning, making sure the healer isn't too far away

About the only thing I use/used my squads for were to get crafter scripts for the crafter books. I never enjoyed running content with them. I found them super boring personally but that's me. The trusts AI is so much better. The only issue I've had with them is in Mheg with the second boss as a dps where they have a terrible time clearing the traps and selecting an appropriate line to avoid wipes by that boss.

I've done all my story dungeons with them and I've gotten a few characters through story.

    You're joking right?

Sure its slower but you'll have no problems learning how to tank in there.
I'm looking forward to leveling my Gunbreaker there when I get done with dancer. My trust members should all be 80 by the time I get around to leveling that class.

I might suggest you actually give them a try and then decide. You might be surprised. I'll agree they certainly aren't for everyone but for me personally I'm happy SE has chosen to add them to the game.

Gotcha! I mean the squadron AI is really something else lol. A few boss mechanics is like trying to wipe with a cactuar.

Trusts have a lot more character and brains, it's fun watching/listening to them interact. I would like to see the trust system continue to evolve and grow, just hope something happens to my squad so they don't feel dead somewhere xD.

I thought it might be fun if they worked on your airship (new content) or something else, and had some retainer like features (send them out to bring in dungeon materials like retainers go for ventures, basically taking their current system and just adding dungeons into it lol), maybe work on our farm that might be coming. Although farm feels a bit of a downgrade from GC fighter so that might not fight lore wise but certainly dungeon "ventures" and airship crew could fit. Helping you travel the world and pirating for the GC against garleans when you're away . Just anything that makes them not feel like a "woops, didn't mean to make that- it's dead now" content.

I get that they couldn't have made the Trusts too strong for dungeons that are so new but it'll be nice if they do get some aoe or something for later, when we're level 90 or something (5.xx). Of course also would love to see them work for MSQ dungeons (the ARR ones). Random super aside but I feel like they could make Cid a trust member for castrum (magitek'ing about), engineer job and that'd be pretty cool! (Doesn't really fit for praetorium with how the story is told though).
