I just dinged 80 on all my trusts. Leveled two jobs to 80 doing that (mostly.. trusts level a little faster than you do).
Now to never touch them again because that was really quite painful.

You'll say that until they some how improve on Trust which I hope thjey consider soon.
Right now they are just Story NPCs for MSQ dungeons so nothing unique about them unless you want to experience MSQ in a Story Instance perspective.
Though they have potential to diverge from the standard NPC story Allies and Player's mentality of AoE between Bosses only and only use Single Target on Boss only mentality if they can make Trust a bit more RPGish in design if they add new ways to improve each Trust companions such as giving them their own Solo LB nad maybe some unique effects and abilities that happen under certain conditions.

Squadrons excel over Trust in that regards. Squadrons can mow down a trash mob with ease. I do not know why SE dont allow the Trust to do AoEs. Combine attributes from trust & squadrons...u will have a formidable party. The trusts mostly suck at clearing trash quickly. I've found they tend to be only marginally slower then average DF groups at killing the bosses.
With all my classes at 80, I still have three of them a few levels away from cap so I think I'll max them so I can do the next MSQ dungeon with them. I enjoy the banter between them.

It's deliberately done so that trusts are worse than players. No kidding... their suckatude is on purpose.
