Just recently started Shadowbringers and first dungeon, I tried Trusts, wiped 3 times on the final boss. Quit and waited for a regular party. Don't think I will go back to using Trusts.

I said I was no where near his aoe. When I went back in with an actual party. We had no issue and I was in the same location as I was when I was in the Trust party and not one of us died on the final boss.

There is nothing else that would have killed you at that low of a percentage other than the boss's rotating AOE (he does fist punchies in the front, and a tail swipe in the back that covers at least 1/4 of the arena each time), or you took the line AOE laser beam stack solo, since he does that immediately after the merry-go-round. I'm fairly certain that the Trusts do a decent enough job of breaking the Chain that a DPS gets stuck in, so it probably wasn't that.

Initially I was having trouble on that too. For me, it was because I was on an opposing side of the npcs during things like the rotation and the healer would try to cross through the middle to get to me and getting shredded. Once I started forcing myself to be on the same side with the npcs, for the most part I didn't have further issues other than the occasional npc deciding to take a side swipe to the face.
I've been using trusts to level up a few jobs and it's been nice being able to dart off for a few minutes without inconveniencing anyone else. I do wish they would aoe though. For dps, my hands get get sore doing the aoe rotations so many times in a row that I set up lazy aoe macros. Less efficient and not something I'd use in groups with others, but my hands are happier.
