I said I was no where near his aoe. When I went back in with an actual party. We had no issue and I was in the same location as I was when I was in the Trust party and not one of us died on the final boss.

Initially I was having trouble on that too. For me, it was because I was on an opposing side of the npcs during things like the rotation and the healer would try to cross through the middle to get to me and getting shredded. Once I started forcing myself to be on the same side with the npcs, for the most part I didn't have further issues other than the occasional npc deciding to take a side swipe to the face.
I've been using trusts to level up a few jobs and it's been nice being able to dart off for a few minutes without inconveniencing anyone else. I do wish they would aoe though. For dps, my hands get get sore doing the aoe rotations so many times in a row that I set up lazy aoe macros. Less efficient and not something I'd use in groups with others, but my hands are happier.
I have run a ton of trust dungeons. Considering the insta queue for dps it off sets the length of time of a duty finder dungeon. I have never wiped. I had Alphi die one time in a holminster switch run and thankfully alisaie rezzed him.

For me the speed has been a mixed bag, I've had some really good parties with players that go much faster than a trust run, I've had more than a few take as long as a trust run, and I think I've actually had a couple that took longer than a trust run.

Yup. I'll log in and run a trust dungeon or two a day.

I wanted to try Trusts with my SCH, since it's the weakest healer for me and I didn't want to subject DF to it until I learned to play it a bit better at a ShB level... but the speed is what's stopping me from doing more runs. Even if you try to coax larger pulls out of Thancred, none of the Trusts AOE, meaning you have to divert too many resources just to healing Thancred due to the incoming damage and the lack of outgoing damage (I guess that's similar enough to a typical bad DF party...). However. Even on single pulls, the mobs just felt as if they took super long to die. I didn't feel as if I got any practice to make my SCHing better, because I spent even less time healing the single pulls as opposed to just mindlessly DPSing.
I may try them again on a DPS. See if I can just muscle through and AOE down the larger pulls on my own to speed things up. But with the slow runs, it might be better for me to just join DF groups once I am semi-competent at how some of my more weaker jobs function in ShB.

It helps a little, but I still find it kind of exhausting for the amount of extra effort and attention it requires compared to the overall effect on the run. It's a YMMV situation based on your own tolerance for such things though. What really killed it for me is that the bosses still take forever because the trusts only do about as much DPS as I'd expect from a tank. They are not interesting enough to take that long, especially when the NPCs handle mechanics in frustrating ways.
I love them. They allowed me to complete the msq without anxiety, and now I run with them whenever I want to play relaxed and try different jobs in ShB dungeons. I can't wait for the system to get extended to more content, old and new. It is a wonderful side option for someone like me, who usually fumbles through the duty finder parties unless I chance upon cheerful and friendly playmates. On a side note, I like Urianger a lot more with his First tunic, but that's just a matter of personal taste!![]()
