Two months into Shadowbringers, do you find yourself still using Trusts?

I for one do, they've been a great, great help on my journey to getting every job to 80, they've been great for jobs I don't normally feel comfortable playing in normal parties(... like healers lol). Its been nice being able to afk without annoying anyone if I need to, they are slower than a normal group since they don't aoe so there is a bit of a trade off there. Its also nice having Urianger in his Source outfit and not a dress lol. I didn't like using them at first because their exp gain was so slow but when they recently increased their exp gain it mage a huge difference for me.

How about you? Whats your experience been with trusts? Not working out for you? Do you wish SE would make more Trusts? Or open more content to Trusts?

Depends. I really only do them now to level them up since the xp buff (thank god). Also in regards to the questions.

    1.) Answer is above.
2.) I like them though I wish they did AoE. I almost fell asleep numerous times because of how long it took to take down some group of mobs (depending on the job I was playing) cause the trust's like their single target damage.
3.) Give them the ability to AoE and possibly pull more than one group and I would be happy. Hell, or at least let them do AoE's once you grinded them to level 80.
4.) I am surprised that we didn't get two of the trust's we got through the story. Wouldn't mind seeing other NPC's though (give me Tataru!)
5.) I think somewhere recently Yoshi said that there would be more content given with trusts. I believe their thinking of doing that for things like Cast/Pate in ARR.

To be honest, I've never used trusts. When I do the leveling roulette, I kind of get annoyed when I do end up in a Shadowbringers dungeon because the pace is so much slower then nearly anything else in the roulette and as I understand it, trusts are even slower. If I want a ton of EXP while being able to afk minutes at a time, I run the MSQ roulette instead.

But I guess it may come down to the fact that I only have 4 jobs at level 80 and I'm in no rush.

I tried them once some weeks back, then never touched them again. While it's nice that they can't fail mechanics, these dungeons are already agonizing slow with actual people as-is, let alone with an AI party that doesn't AoE.

Would I love to hang out with Y'shtola more? Yes, but not like this.

I like the squadrons quite a bit because they can be empowered to go quite fast but it seems these guys are a bit slower so I haven't really used them too much (less than I've used squadron). I had originally thought they would be on timers or something giving them an excuse to be basically OP (and not replace our squadrons) lol, but obviously that's not the case (and too late to do that now). Of course as they are now with no limiting factor it'd probably be a bad thing if they were faster than normal players seeing as how it's current content (why use DF then, which would be not great). Maybe in the future they'll get some sort of system that makes them stronger for old content.

I'll probably level them up later, especially if I'm not in the mood to wait for a roulette queue on DD. I had used squadron for some DD before, or to remember how to play a job before using it in roulette, but I felt more okay doing that since my squadron is all max ranked damage and basically make everything turn into ash on their own lol (they're just really really bad at certain boss mechanics like the goblin bombs XD).

As an aside I think it would be pretty cool if they get side quests, like sRPG have loyalty quests, and you can unlock special abilities and chemistry from them (chemistry like squadron). I know some of the outfits are on the mog station but adding chains of quests and achievements leading to unlocked glamour (for you to wear) of that character would probably make it a fairly hot content lol (giving players whatever outfit isn't on the shop currently). Also I could see them being tutors for our squadron to improve their AI and available content. Have Raubahn come in and teach them new LBs (like we have that one already), unlock new dungeons, etc.

I leveled four jobs to 80 before I touched trusts at all.

Then when I finally did do trusts, I did it simply for the sake of completion. Triple Triad, every sidequest, every job, chocobo racing, relics; if it's an activity I can do solo, you can bet at some point I'm going to be bored enough to max it out. This is a thing I can level, and thus I will level it. I do not enjoy trusts, especially when I'm not tank. I will level one tank (DRK) and one DPS (DRG) alongside the trusts to get them all to 80, and then subsequently never touch them again (currently, I have one trust trio at 75, and one at 72).

    Pros:
    - I like not having a queue time.
    - I like being able to afk mid-run.
    - I get all the loot uncontested; my desynth skills really appreciate that.

    Cons:
    - If I'm not on tank, I hate having to aggro, or nearly aggro, the next thing in order for Thancred to zoom in and grab hate.
    - The dungeons can easily take ~50% longer (30 mins instead of 20) than running with real people, probably because...
    - The trusts don't AOE.
    - The whole concept of leveling Trusts is dumb.

tl;dr: I dislike Trusts, but I will concede that I'm likely just not the target audience for them. They serve their purpose well enough. I still think the concept of needing to level them up is stupid though.

Only used them for msq purpose. Haven't used them cuz I'm actually too lazy to look up on how to get them to join a duty with me.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

I only ever used them once for each dungeon.

I need to see if a trust dungeon counts towards the dungeon master achievements and the challenge log. If it does I will go back to trusts soon as I get some of my 70s to 71. Especially BLM because I realize I have no idea how to play it so I want to go through “stupid” while I’m in a solo queue, and hopefully come out the other end at “decent”...

Also one reason I want to give them another try is to AFK some of the dungeons just exploring around for good screenshots...
