    From what I saw, that was always a case of people readily giving the information (albeit not to whom they thought they were submitting it to) over to a 3rd party. If you tell someone your login information and the current one time password, they can log in immediately and that's just what the scammers did.

    I forgot my password and have been locked out after purchasing the expansions I missed after my hiatus and my security questions could not be answered (because they might contain an ä, and it would not be the first time this causes funky ASCII problems and thus render my answers as "wrong" every time!). I knew my password for the game but not for the MogStation!

    After being redirected to like 50 different Square Enix and Mogstation pages with nothing achieved, I gave up and reached out for the chat by opening the launcher and hit CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

    After a wait of 20 seconds I had a polite (German) lady chatting to me. After a bit of verification (when I bought the game, registered it etc) she guided me trough everything smoothly and without any problems. It was a very difficult task, almost a loophole (if I remember correctly, it was me loggin into the game, getting an error message, being redirected to yet another page which then again redirected me further without asking for the unkown password because due to me logging into the launcher, I apparently had a token on my system or some weird shit like that). Her answers were swift, succesful, calm, professional. I expected to never see my Lalafell again, but she calmed me down and we took several approaches until it worked.

    After NEXON, RIOT GAMES and ARENA-NET, which all sucked monkey balls, this support team here was my best experience so far.

    The SE support is pretty fast and helpful, got most issues solved in 10 minutes.

    We should be happy that we dont have the nexon support team which only sends automated messages and literally bans you from the support when you ask an answer.

    Just because you had a "bad" support issue, does not mean the support team as a whole is bad. That is some far reaching generalizations.

    How in the world does a level 1 that is in the FC for an hour get ranked an officer's or higher rank within that time to have access to FC funds? Seems to me this is clearly faulted with password sharing which is against ToS and neglect on who has access to deposits and withdrawals of FC funds which again is neglect on the leader of the FC and that of your said "friend".

    This has "neglect" written all over it, and wanting SE (big daddy) to fix things, when you and your FC need to face the consequences that comes from mismanagement. I am surprised they rolled back this friends account. It was awfully nice of them to do this much.

    The person who got hacked is the one responsible for reporting this. Squeenix is never going to give you information on another account, or take any actions on someone else's account because you say so. It's silly to even think they would. Have the person who got hacked talk to them about getting your FC gil back.

    How is saying that hey this is the answer even if the answer isn't a good one and places blame on the victim white knighting? It's the one we have to live with until something happens and the dev's change their mind and allow the gms to not basically give people a sucks to be you for an answer. As I've said this isn't the first time this has happened and you can search the forum to find the other lengthy threads. I guess this isn't as big of a problem on the jp data centers or doesn't get reported enough to the point where they'd feel the need to change the system even if it's just how the ranks function. In all of the other instances I've seen it's always been someone who's not the owner of the FC who's gotten hacked which to me implies they're mostly just there for the gil.

    SE Support is pretty awful, even the process of getting support is miserable. Most of the time they don't even respond to people, which is an issue I have personally experienced with them but also a lot of my friends coming back to the game who all had various issues also either never got a response, or got one many days later that didn't provide much help at all.
