Very true it is more about the attitude but parsers are very useful in determining when a slight change might be a dps gain or a dps loss because the alternative is not great especially from a time perspective.

For eff's sake. Do a little math. This. Ain't. Rocket. Science.

Love to see you do the math for your dps in a 8 man encounter from start to finish, parsers are just a number tool, very useful and easy to read compared to the long very boring alternative.

It's VERY easy to create a solid rotation.

Step 1. Look at the potency of abilities.
Step 2. Look at cooldowns.
Step 3. Put cooldowns in order to take advantage of the global cooldown to maximize up time.

Base rotation sure, any nuiances in the rotation, any change from the norm because of a fight's design, you do anything different you not going to know if what you did was a boon or a bane without the numbers to help and i would highly highly doubt anyone nowadays would be bothered to sit and read an instance's battle log and do that math.

Parsers are not evil, do not spread hate, do not criticize people, so stop(general people against them) trying to make it into a boogyman it can never be, your beef is people and that is where the energy should go to getting rid of those who feel the need to openly insult(Big insults not stuff like you need to get better etc) other players.

You can't stop morons from mis-using tools and you won't be able to stop asshats from dissing people over numbers in trivial content. That is the whole reason why SE thinks it is better to not have them accessible in the first place.

And then people find a way around it, diss you for your gear and create secret blacklisting websites.... oh yeah this is clearly so much better.

Bottom line: people that want to be an arse about your performance will find a way to do so, parser or no parser. SE's anti parser stance accomplishes nothing.

And how is that working out? People are still harassing others and of course some people are still using parsers in silence to better them selves. In addition, the ps4 users cant even use the information at all. This is no "middle ground." This is SE allowing pc players to have an advantage over ps4 players WHILE harassment is still as prevalent as ever because some people are willingly, and illogically gimping their selves out of fear. If SE bans people with poor behaviour or not, that still doesnt change the fact that ps4 players are getting the shaft. Whether ps4 players get a parser or not. You will still play with pc players who parse and thats fact.
