Tbh, what disappoints me the most is the lack of sin eaters outside MSQ. For being a realm plagued with them to the point people are afraid of even going outside town, there's none on the overworld, and not a single fate or side quests that involves sin eaters (not that I recall at least). Makes it feel like they weren't really a threat to begin with.

The same holds true for Voidsent on the Source.

It was the same with Stormblood areas lacking Garlean occupiers, and it's unfortunately for the same reason: after you complete the MSQ and boot out the Garleans/get rid of the light, the enemy spawns would have to change completely.

Or they wouldnt and each map should be threated as a Time Bubble. Just like in HW maps we still fighting against the remains of the Horde. With very well designed FATE lines, think about dynamic events in GW2, you could use every map to narrate a story, for both the map, and the main arc of the storyline events in that map.

    THEMING.

    This game sorely lacks that.

True but im reminded of when legion did the same thing. sure you needed to have beaten the raid to see the changes but it was there and soon eventually everyone got to see them. same with the sword being stabbed in the world. its possible to do but the devs are never thinking about stuff like that.

Maybe they do, because they're professionnal you know. But maybe they don't have neither the time nor the ressources to do it or they decided to not do it for design reason.
