Well, having to precast Dots so that Ruin deals damage is not good at all when dealing with low HP targets.

You cast DoTs because it's a big part of your DPS toolkit. If anything they need to change it back to 50 potency like it was prior to 5.0. DoTs are so easy to cast on low HP targets too, Tri-D > Bane > go to work. You shouldn't have to switch target during a boos fight, just bane.
