You do realize that doing that would kind of...I dunno break every piece of gear in the game since stats are tied to them?

Do people think before throwing out the first thing they can think of factors be damned?

Job restrictions on glamour. Glamour. Not actually letting jobs wear other gear with the wrong stats.

Yep, they all need to go. If you can wear it (on any of your classes) you should be able to glam it. FFXI did this, and it didn't harm anything.

FFXI also clearly adopted glamours because this game had them, so that's an example of a much older game taking a system that exists in this one and actually improving on it. There's no real excuse for why this game can't.

At the very least drop the restrictions on crafter and gatherer gear.

    I both agree and disagree.

On gear that isn't obviously class-specific like the job artifact gear, I would like to see those restrictions lifted. I have so many outfits that I could put together but can't because I main a class that cannot use it; but job-specific gear should remain job-specific, no matter what.

Or, at the very least, give crafting classes the ability to 'disable' the class requirements of gear at the cost of stripping all stats from them, and make them glamour-only.

I want the legs from the SCH 50er set. I don't want to play SCH but boy do I want to have this for my other glamours!

I honestly didn't think of this. I don't care about the restriction either way but your comment did make me realize that all the mmos I've played with no restriction, were sandboxes where you could equip any type of gear regardless of class.

I mean I guess they could implement something to turn gear into an image item (like how Archeage has it) which removes the stats and restriction. But I have a feeling they would just make that super complicated and clunky.
