Please let PS4 parse our dps like pc

Oof. Two bitter sides and the more casual one simply refuses to listen. We aren’t going to harm anyone bettering ourselves through parsing. We have all agreed to keep it out of savage and extremes. Besides the poor soul who thought they were great we haven’t solo’d a single one out with any data. We could at any moment, but haven’t. This is exactly how it works in game. I don’t que a dungeon and then eyeball each toon’s logs. I don’t look at their performance til I’m noticing a weak link in the ability to clear or the length of the fight is dragged out. And again this is strictly in savage and extremes. The people saying no have honestly only brought up the point of wow and boogiemen that supposedly flaunt logs in ffxiv.

Casuals will have the majority of content to be casual in. Whereas the more hardcore players have tools to improve themselves and match skill levels.

We aren’t playing savage and extremes to “care” about our fellow player outside of getting friends their clear. Nor are we there to monitor anyone/s performance to form an opinion ourselves outside of trialing.

Also, LMFAO at the idea of letting a single person try to learn their class and raid with seven more advanced players simply because we are nice and don’t care to progress... Since one person learning is more important than seven others actually having fun and clearing. Delusions are real too I suppose

this is the problem here isnt it, how do we guarantee it will be use properly and giving a tool for the toxic crowd.

may be strictly raid finder only, and have a clear explanation and enforcement of how "harassment" define in game

i mean 40 pages, both side just repeating themselves, other than those fight that escalate into some nonsense.

I think ppl who want it to be implement official could come up with some idea how to do it and ease the worry of the other side

I mean heck, I'd be happy with actual numbers in stone sea and sky. Stick a meter in there, whatever. I just want to actually quantitatively know how well I'm doing without risking a ban for something that shouldn't be bannable.

I've gone into EX learning and clear parties, normally alone/sometimes with friends, specifically to help strangers clear. One of my most treasured moments was sifting idiots out of a Shinryu EX learning party until I got an entire PUG willing to chat in discord, with only myself and one other having cleared (some people never even having TRIED the fight). Once we got that final group, everyone on chat and listening, we cleared first try in that lockout.

The things is, when I want to do that I go looking for it. I don't wan't to do it EVERY TIME, and I definitely don't want to wind up having to do it if that wasn't advertised up front (AKA trap parties). I certainly don't want to do it when progressing myself, which is why I'm reticent to PUG Eden Savage right now while I try out for statics.

You can't say, "Keep these type of players out of my way" without sounding like an 80's sports movie villain.

Using a program not supported by, and in fact is against the rules of, the game to "improve" is exactly like using steroids to win a weight lifting competition.

This is a horrible analogy. Parsing doesn't make you immediately better for using it. It just collects data, and how you act on that data determines if and how you improve. You don't need to parse yourself, or even look at your own logs, to utilize the data. A parser is just an advanced and more quantitative version of video-capturing your runs and rewatching them to spot mistakes, which is what I do when I play on PS4.

There is a big difference between dps A doing 8k and dps B doing 6k vs dps A doing 8k and dps B doing 2k in the lvl 77 dungeon. 8k vs 6k is a huge difference but the 6k could have a lot of reasons for being so low. Never seen the fight, got some new moves they havent figured out yet, messed up/died, lacking powerful moves still, etc. It happens, and it is a lvling dungeon. You could even argue 6k is the avg and they did nothing wrong, the 8k dps was just really good. 8k vs 2k though? No dps at lvl 70+ should ever be pulling 2k while alive in aoe or st, ever.

Dps numbers on a parser mean nothing without context, something most understand when around them for any length of time. If someone dies to something at the start of the fight and has low dps in a lvling dungeon, better luck next time. If they are alive and only pulling 2k(lvl 77 dungeon) the entire fight? They are legit doing something really wrong that needs to be fixed.

Calling someone out for 6k dps in the lvl 77 dungeon on a boss would be pretty toxic imo(pretty sure everyone but healers can do more than 6k in aoe). Calling out someone(again alive the whole fight) doing 2k should be perfectly valid. They are getting carried and need to improve. If they got to lvl 77 like that I doubt they are going to get any better at max without changing something.

No one is going to care to much about dungeons. People most of the time aren't going to be kicked in dungeons for low dps, because the content is so easy, and it is quicker most of the time to just suck it up and keep pushing on instead of kicking and waiting for a replacement.
