This is such a non-debate, it's actually insane. Why people still argue this is beyond me but I've never spoken about it so here goes.

Personal DPS meters are objectively harmless. Stone Sky Sea functions somewhat as a personal DPS meter, even if you can kill it with time to spare -- you can determine how well you did by how much time you still had left once the dummy died, or the percentage of its health in case you couldn't down it in the allotted time. It won't give you specific numbers and it can't account for party dynamics like Trick Attack windows, dance partners, Litany, DRG tether, Brotherhood's passive, cards and all that, but it's better than nothing. Its HP is static, which means you can absolutely determine improvement through the information it gives you.

People already use parsers and there's very little drama around it. I'm on PS4, I'm a mediocre player, I go all the way between greens when stuff launches to purples after a few kills. I never really get any golds. I'm not in a static at the moment so I don't really have control over which of my logs get uploaded (if any at all, really) but my character's name is Kjah Molket if anyone wants to see. I'm sure there's some still from Omega in there somewhere. I've never once been harassed for my DPS and I've been playing for ages. Not in a static, not in PUGs, never.

If people harass you over your personal DPS, report them and move on. Being a sub-par player is not against the rules and it's not "Toxic" either, like some people here say. That's just ridiculous. But on the other hand, if you are that player being kicked for low DPS, that's not in and of itself toxic behaviour either unless they verbally harass you -- it's important to understand that. It is not another players' job to carry you and it's completely understandable that a player will choose a more formidable party member over you. It's not just understandable, it's basic logic.

Furthermore, I'm usually a disgusting SJW in general and I hate the "it's your own fault" spiel but I'll have to parrot it here somewhat: If you are looking to engage in Savage level content (nevermind Ultimate), you must, by NECESSITY, understand that it's completely performance driven -- mostly but not entirely because of its reliance on enrage mechanics -- and you will underperform at some point, and someone will point it out. It is an integral part of it and it cannot be avoided. If that's not up to your liking, don't engage at all!

If your argument against having a parser in PS4 is that you secretly don't want to accept how bad you are, that's a you thing. It's just you. Everybody already knows it's a self-esteem thing so why even bother trying to pretend it's not? You're smarter than that.

If you want to avoid any drama, find yourself a friendly static that either helps you improve or doesn't care too much about your performance. But keep in mind you'll run against a wall that no party can put you over, at some point.

Square Enix should absolutely implement a personal parse system for all available systems the game functions on. It is objectively harmless, objectively useful and, more importantly, objectively optional.

Square Enix should retain its policies of harsh punishment to anyone that, through the use of a parsing software and for any reason whatsoever, decides to harass, humiliate or degrade a player for being bad. Being a bad player is not against the rules, never will be, and life is much bigger than this game.
