Skimpy clad bikini axe wielding warriors and speedo wearing mages, I'm pretty sure the immersion of this game was taken away a long time ago. Just enjoy the game, everything is all in good fun for that amusement park style entertainment.

Lots of things take up their time, the value of which varying from person to person. Me? I find them adding the recording function to be a waste of time, which could have also taken from improving the glamour system. But if they have it in the works to give us a crossover then by all means let it happen, immersion be damned. There's a number of any and all things that will distract or pull their attention away from things that could use some work, in game, it's just a thing that's going to happen, but for crossovers to get singled out is kinda weird.
I imagine the story for the Nier raids will be pretty dumb, but there is a lot of potential for great rewards if they pick the right glamour and orchestrion rolls.
Don't forget the new frog suit! Seen lots of those around lately.
Muh immersion!
But thats what a crossover is OML
Immersion was broken ages ago. I'd say the single biggest offender was the Adamantoise mount. It's just gotten worse since then, but after that, nothing else mattered.
I guess you aren't gonna like the Nier Raid lol.
These things are apparently okay because its 'within' FFXIV. Outside crossover stuff however..
But I agree. Immersion went out the window long ago, by their own hands no less.
