

You don't have to be a moral "absolutist" to think that murdering entire planets is wrong. What utter nonsense.Hah, funny that! Emet made pretty much the same argument.
As for others likening this scenario with real world events... there is a convenient line to be drawn. Emet is not human. He is very clearly superior to us in almost every way. At the very least 14 times so than the average shard dweller. That is why people are bringing up the chicken analogy. Its not perfect, but its easy, and gets the point across how he sees us.
Anyways, it boils down to relativistic vs absolutist morals. If you see absolutely nothing in Emets case that you could sympathize with, you probably follow the latter. If you see his point, but still think he's wrong, well you probably got what the writers were going for.
