I mean, the only way they can tell if you're on PS4 is if they're on PS4 too.
I've been playing since ps3 was an option, never been discriminated against for either platform.

What you see on your screen is different than what we see. There's no elitism there, just reporting what I see when someone uses a controller.
My bf & I just did a couple tests on this, and we're both still confused by what you're exactly seeing.
He uses controller so I watched his character move several times with a controller, then he plugged in his keyboard and moved using that instead. Zero difference in the movement, start-up/slow-down of the movement, it was indistinguishable, and his sticks are set to analog. Even on his screen he notes that his character never starts "walking" and starts at full run when he moves forward, only when he tilts his stick intentionally to only walk does it ever walk, and also notes his character comes to a dead-stop whenever he releases the control stick.
So unless you got video of this in action, I really don't know what you're seeing, as both movements are identical from another's perspective.

i play on pc so this kinda confused me. like whats stopping you from lying? yes they ask no ps4 scrubs yadayada, but they dont know right? even if you play with ps4 cant you just say "nah iam pc" or something like that?I saw this ad for party finder a few days ago that said. "Titania EX Learning party. No PS4 scrubs" I mean myself, being part of the PCMR, was able to join and I asked the dude why no PS4 players.
He said. "That there is a delay or something with the controller or PS4 servers because PS4 players always get hit by stuff"
I wanted to argue with him..but I think I've always had that experience as well.
or does it show you like an icon or something that you are on console?
They're about five years behind. Console causing input issues hasn't been a problem since PS3, and very early PS4 integration. Nowadays, the PS4 may beat out a fair chunk of PCs people use, especially given how low the minimum requirements are. The PS4 Pro? Yeah. That's easily better than a LOT of PCs. That being said, someone can make whatever rules they fancy in their own PF. If I put up a PF asking only for naked catgirls, I can kick you for not being a naked catgirl. Would be dumb? Of course, but it's my party. You have the option not to join.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
No reason to be defensive about it. Its what's seen on our end. Its not like I said I was going to kick you from the group for it. Though some of the rudeness others are showing could be subject to a group kick for that. But that's an unrelated issue.
You dont strafe on controller.Yes, turn slower. I personally use a mouse to move. So, I would quickly turn and then hit my spell, which turned me back with the auto-facing. Now, if I was on a controller, I would just strife left or right. There are times you still need to turn, like when you have to face away from the purple eye. With a mouse, you can do that much quicker and therefore have a little bit more time to let the spell finish.
But at this point, we are talking about a fraction of a second and is you have to be pinching for what would be about 2 to 3 extra second of activity out of the whole fight, then there are other problems than hardware.
You push the analogue stick in the direction you want to go, your character instantly turns and walks in that direction...
I'm not defensesive at all. And if it sounds rude it's cause it's false. That's not correct information and I'm just correcting on that. Whatever the hell you're seeing isn't cause of a PS4. Sounds like you're having internet issues. Noone and I mean noone has to ramp up to run on PS4. You just go. If they ARE stepping like they are hot foots then that's clearly a net issue. And who is -our-? Cause last I check everyone replying to you is correcting you.. not agreeing with you.
