Yes, turn slower. I personally use a mouse to move. So, I would quickly turn and then hit my spell, which turned me back with the auto-facing. Now, if I was on a controller, I would just strife left or right. There are times you still need to turn, like when you have to face away from the purple eye. With a mouse, you can do that much quicker and therefore have a little bit more time to let the spell finish.

But at this point, we are talking about a fraction of a second and is you have to be pinching for what would be about 2 to 3 extra second of activity out of the whole fight, then there are other problems than hardware.

If you use legacy controls on controller, you can turn your character basically instantly by moving the joystick opposite from the enemy. I often ride gaze castbars to 90% then quickly turn in the last possible moment on controller; there's no advantage/disadvantage when it comes to turning your character on controller vs KB/M since both have methods to instantly turn.

These are all local things. Camera, controller delays, keyboard delays..etc. Just because you seem to be turning faster that doesn't mean the server and the syncing is actually moving you or turning you that fast. It mostly depends on how fast your connection is and your lag. The server might see you in a slightly different place than you think you are.

I have had pretty terrible lag on PC all year, and get hit by things if I don't pre-dodge. Using a VPN seems to help.

I don't know if PS4 players can use VPNs or if playing on PS4 would have a different ping, but I think it'd make more sense to ban east coast players like myself from your PFs.

Some PC users have access to multiple 3rd Party apps that PS4 users cannot use that help them perform better on fights and play FFXIV better. And i'm not just talking about the Parsing app lol.

Well, it doesn't really matter which you use, it really comes down to preference.

Personally I just find the gamepad's button setup a little too limited, but if people like playing with one good for them, it doesn't affect anyone else so there's no real point in even thinking about it.

Unless you're actually dragging down a party, nobody should care what you're playing with or how.

I, myself, and many others find the controller optimal. But that's also in part because I suck at Keyboard hotkeys and would be a detriment if I had to use them lol. If it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work for you.

If you want to talk about differences then tell companies to stop giving people shitty net. Cause THATS the difference and only difference we should be talking about. Not about KBs and controllers like 1. this game wasn't made for controllers when in fact it is a console game/ PC game, and TWO it's NOT 1998. PS4's aren't running on windows XP. 1gig download speeds So smooth.

That's a bunch of bull. I play ps4 and controller is good in this game. I used to play on PC years ago (RIP my PC), and I am a better player now since I switched to ps4

And how would they KNOW? You LITERALLY can't know unless you're on PS4 aswell. Here's a well kept secret. If you're on PS4 and inspect another PS4 player you'll see their PSNID on the botton of the info card. ONLY PS4 users can see it. If you're on PC you'll see nothing. So unless he's trollign on his PS4 then how in the booboo hell he;ll know? He won't. It's either a bunch of young morons or old stupid morons trying ot get peoples blood pressure up. Sue em and take their lunch money and live life.

While they don't know if someone play on PS4, there is a hint to know if someone play with a controller.
Running left and right with side steps and doing backsteps - mostly a keyboard player
Turning the body to the direction of the run - mostly a controller player (legacy control on controller is just so much better than standard control)

Aside from the controlling issues (I hate the controller gameplay in this game), I can only spot PS4 players by them being stuck longer in loading instances or watching cutscenes longer due to quicker loading from my SSD.

That only allow you to spot HDD users. You can change the HDD in a PS4 with a SSD.
