No Fun allowed.Viera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.
player base: I accept this!
other members of the player base: Maybe the men can be equally thin and a little smaller. It is a female run society so having the females be the muscle could be cute.
player base: no!!!! that doesn't make sense?! How can they be fierce warriors with out GIANT MUSCLES!!!! Kill who ever dare say that!!
Please don't rage.....I am only joking and trying to have fun with the situation.
Stop it, you're making people smile
Female Viera are actually point for point as muscular as highlander women, and are even taller at that. They're well built and broad shouldered. They're just more poised.Viera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.

They kind of remind me of Korra
Ironically, you can make a viera that resembles season 1-3 korra

I'm not really buying this concept that it's a female-run society if men aren't even a part in the villages or society. If anything the viera live in separate but mutually beneficial societies. The men aren't told what to do or ruled by the women of the villages since they don't live in them. And if they're off living on their own, it makes more sense that the men are athletic and powerful, something you'd need to be if you're expected to survive on your own in the wild. Being small and diminutive would make sense only if the males are subject to the women in the villages. Or at least that's they way I would see it.Viera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.

I was taking a big ol nap and missed this but yeah absolutely I'd be down for a male elf type too. I like the castanic build a little bit more but I'm down for pretty much anything so long as I get to see it.
Yeah they look really thin and elegant. It suits male viera in my opinion.
And they look cool with heavier looking armor, too
I don't think any input on the design of male viera was being considered to begin with. Which is fine as it should be up to SE/the devs/or even Matsuno in the first place. idk why some of you are acting like the mods are looking through this thread and relaying design preferences to the dev team

Yes, to that point, they made Yugiri way before male Au ra existed. Moreover, as you point it out, Au ra were made to reflect Mongolia/Japan respectively yet they decided to make their males 7 feet? The issue with Au ra isn't so much the women, it's the men. Ultimately they already started working on next expansion supposedly so any input as to how the races should look are probably not being considered anymore. Thanks to Roda for bringing that up, didn't know they already started working on the next expansion, great news indeed. The Xaela seem to be based Mongolian tribes where the females are/were about 4'8-5'2, the Raen seem to be based on ancient Japan lifestyle, females there are also small and around the same height. It's not that the females are small. It's the fact the males are disgustingly tall. They have zero reason to be that tall.
Yeah, haha - like I know he's supposedly joking but from what I read in the lore. Yes, a woman is in control - and the spirit is a female. But it's the men who take up the mantle of protecting the village, or rather they're forced to do it. They are not even part of the village or society. They are outside of it, satellites that basically that go from village to village, or rather 'around' them. While females in the wood are stuck to one village, the males are not.I'm not really buying this concept that it's a female-run society if men aren't even a part in the villages or society. From what I gather the only person in control of the males is the wood spirit they worship, not the matriarch.
Also, this made me groan hard 'female run society so having the females be the muscle could be cute' - ScreaminggggGggGgGGGViera females are Victoria's secret model sized warriors and they are powerful and deadly.

to anyone else who may have a problem with the lore i present you this image for consideration

If this is another Jab at the Lore of Viera, this picture has nothing to do with the decade old race.
At the same time.....this picture belongs in a Museum. Children must know that our Forefathers: Pepe the Frog, flew the Mighty T-rex over the great Plains of the Fae
This got me thinking - how many children do male viera mentor? They come down to the village and take the male children who are of age. What age is that? Around 10-13 or something?
While the male viera are out and about, they also need to mentor the children, as well as take care of them. I'm going to guess male viera have more than just hunting and defending the wood to deal with. We assume all male viera do is defend the wood, but there seems to be more to it than that. They teach and care for the young ones, too. Depending how many children they take under their wing, it almost seems like a lot of babysitting.
