I remember when the people here used to say we just want to ERP because we wanted shorter bunny men, and now they telling "not everyone wants to ERP just because we want bunny men". Ironic, it's the same situation.

I re-read this post over and over but I don't think I understand the meaning. Elaborate?
I’m not fond of capping their max height below the females but it has little to do with ERP being the concern.
The people who were against liking shorter(or feminine) bunny men because "it's for ERP and lewd purposes", are now saying "not everyone wants to ERP just because we want bunny men".
I just dislike genderlock in games especially when it's so stereotypical. Over sexualised bunny girls and big burly lion dudes. Once one Asian mmo does it they all have. Nothing to do with me wanting any kinda erp. My real love life is chaotic let alone a pretend one XD. But yeah my bunny lass looks too stoic at least give the ears a lil wiggle and what is up with that 'joy' emote.

People love to bring up ERP when they discuss things they consider degenerate. It's absolutely nothing new and it's a lazy argument imo. Want to have a quick and easy way to immediately plant a subconscious association with disgust within a concept? Just associate it with erp.
It's like an unspoken law when it comes to FF14 discourse. The longer an argument goes on, the higher chance ERP is going to be mentioned. Because I guess we live in the 1920's or something lol.
There's a huge difference between the two, one is a lot broader - the other is a minority within a community.
Wanting a missing gender released doesn't mean you want to ERP - it shouldn't even relate to it.
Talking to people who have freely admitted that they ERP and want to have them for certain specifics does. These are also some of the same people who think they should be adorable and cute, not all of them - but the most vocal in this thread have been in this boat. I can't shake off that one guy who wanted them short and feminine and sort of childlike so they could be a child.
This also works the other way as well. I've seen plenty of people who do ERP want tall characters who are manly, and not the opposite.
Sure, not everyone who wants a small and feminine male wants to ERP - but there has to be a reason for it, right? So they fit what you look like in real or something? That seems most logical.
For those who do wish them to be short and feminine like; I'd ask this. Is this due to your own personal aesthetic? Your desire to ERP as a certain type of male bunny? Or do you truly believe that the lore hints towards them being short and feminine and thus they should be? No, I'm not taking a jab. I want to know why people wish them to look this way - especially those who have zero plans to ERP or have a specific character in mind? Surely it boils down to 'projecting onto your character' and/or 'sexuality' and 'aesthetic' right? Again, I'm really curious about this and wish to understand, though I'm starting to think it's just a silly question - as part of me thinks my previous points are simply why and there's nothing wrong with that as long as you're not trying to stir the character away from the devs design.
I'll start why I think they shouldn't look feminine and small - the lore doesn't match it. It's not an amazing argument, but I'm praying that they follow it. Mi'qote is also already small as it is, I don't believe that two of the 'animalistic' races should be pushed down to the same size as Mi'qote or smaller. I wouldn't mind if they were slightly smaller than females, but I'm not for a repeat on what happened to female Au'ra. I'd be all for a larger 'height' scale, however. If the male could be taller than the females and yet, the smallest of the males could be smaller than the females then I believe this would be best of both.
Also, wait aren't you the guy who went into my post history and saw that I was tall and used it as an argument against me?
Lmao oh lord. Hey buddy.

Regarding the bunny ear physics. I could have sworn they move? When I see them run I see them bounce. Don't see them flicker though, but Fran's ears didn't flicker either. From what I remember in FF12 they were pretty stiff like a hares ear.

Personally, I'd rather male viera look masculine in build, similar to male au ra, but femenine on animations.
What femenine means to me, is like the female viera, I asociate femeninity with foxes, not women, mostly cus humans are so diverse its very hard to put them into groups like that, just like how masculine to me means gorilla-esque, nothing to do with men. What I mean by femenien animations, I mean graceful animations, like a gracefull asassin dancer which is how I see male viera, not rainbow cats flying to take u whenever u decide to sit, and the reason for that is simply that I want male viera not only cus I love the viera race, rabbits, and I love attractive male characters (Before u start with the ERP argument, I personally find any sort of RP boring, and have absolutely no desire to dress my characters in sexy or skimpy clothes unless necessary), but most importantly, because they fill the wood elf fanatsy this game lacks (plz dont say elezen are anything like that, cuz they overly polite giraffes), and graceful /femenine animations come with that
Ah, see when I read this I think it's just a confusion of the word being used - you want graceful and beautiful men. I don't think these words are still associated with femininity.Personally, I'd rather male viera look masculine in build, similar to male au ra, but femenine on animations.

The traits that are associated with femininity are these; gentleness, empathy, humility, and sensitivity. While the traits associated with masculine are strength, courage, independence, leadership, and assertiveness. The females have both of these; which is androgynous in regards to mental state. The men, however, by going off their lore seem to be more masculine.
