Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I just hope they get good male hairstyles. This expansion hasn’t been good in terms of that so...really hope theirs aren’t overtly feminine and we get a nice mix at the very least.

I'm kind of in the vein where i'm tired of seeing the overtly anime protagonist hairstyles and want something a little more down to earth. It seems male viera have a couple in this capacity from the ones shown. Though a bit longer. I'd like some shorter styles too.

Tbh I don't have high hopes for male Viera. From what was shown in the trailer, I have absolutely no desire to play them. I still hope there will be at least 1 masculine looking face (the trailer faces were all so feminine/ androgynous) and 1 masculine hairstyle (the trailer hairstyles looked just like female hairstyles beeing sold as unisex) and maybe they'll even add some facial hair options. I'll check them out in the character creator once they are available but I kinda doubt there will be any non-androgynous and therefore interesting options for me.

After reading the thing from the dramaturge about how physical sex is unable to be determined until they reach puberty, it should have been apparent that any huge amount of dimorphism was not going to be a thing (people expecting them to be taller than Au Ra, short as catboys or even lalas, super buff or super skinny in contrast to the female counterparts). Fortunately, from the few we've seen in the preview, they don't look overtly feminine, although it is an option for those inclined. However some super masculine faces don't appear to be in the cards. They're holding true to the fact that Viera are supposed to look younger until they croak. So they have this boyish look to them.

They have a nice lean muscular look to them, which with the right kind of glam, you can bring out the muscles a little bit (similar to miqo'te). They do seem to be the slightest touch shorter than the females, although that might be my imagination and they are equal in height.

eventhough going a bit off topic, i still hope we‘ll see some upgrade to the character creation down the road now that the missing genders are going to be implemented.
i hope to see eyebrows and more handsome face options for highlanders for example. an example would be sonon, the new character introduced in ff7 remake integrate. and while we‘re at it i‘d also love his hairstyle to come to 14.

Yeah, for all we lost due to male viera, their design leaves a lot of be desired. This was our last chance to have a tall, masculine player-race with bunny ears, and we lost female viera hair, hats, and hrothgar heads because of it.

We could have had female hrothgar soon, if male viera weren't added first. Their addition would have made more sense as well, with the Bozja arc.
