Well he doesn't have the research or time to put up to back this claim. But remember Yoshi talked about not gating Stormblood. But that turned into not gating new jobs in Stormblood. Followed shortly by announcement of skipping for cash. Which also follows a continuation of gating zones/dungeons behind MSQ. Also remember WoW pricing is a little off since tokens play a role in monthly costs.



I do think people are to way bent out of shape over this. FFXIV does not meet two of the more popular(requested?) features of MMOs. Action based combat and open world(sand box). But in FFXIV defense they never try to convince people they have those features.
