SCH is trash in its current state

I was told by someone in my linkshell that JPN players have a very different outlook on clearing encounters than western players. They prefer safe clears over our fast clears, which may explain why healers are the way they are right now. We like to weave dps into our heals in order to help the party; the faster the target dies, the less overall damage we take. They're satisfied with maximum healing and meh dps skills. We're the opposite, at least to some extent.

But SE hardly listens to our comments and concerns, at least over the JPN player base.

Hi. I’m Japanese. I play on the JP sever but I do check back and forth across both JPN/ENG forums to have better neutral understanding of issues and concerns. I Also visits various outside sources as well.
Your friend in the linkshell is clearly wrong. We’ve have had the same SCH concerns and claims ever since 2.0. And with 5.0 update, every region is pretty much on the same page. JP players are also frustrated with this changes.

It’s very funny to see the same kind of comments on both forums when these things happen. I often see comments stating some thing like “Western/Eastern perspectives are different so we need to calm down”. But I’m seeing the same comments with just Western/Eastern parts replaced.

This is very much affected by YoshiP always stating that Westerns and Easterns have different perspectives on the contents.Yes, there were stuffs like Eureka contents were accepted more by the JP player than the ENG players or JP player didn’t really care if Viera race needed the both gender or not. But that’s more of, you know, whatever differences we may have. Lol But honestly, there aren't THAT much differences, especially when it gets to the battle system concerns. Everyone in JP servers love the new jobs, Monks are the least favorite DPS as always and the 5.0 Schalor changes are unwelcomed by the many.

Western thread needs to speak up more for these kind of things. SE tends to lean towards ENG feedback more than the JPN feedback these days. That's because YoshiP wants to bring XIV to WoW or GW level.
Scholars players in JPN doesn't have that much values because we are considered as a huge claimer. A lot of players(other healer jobs) thinks Scholar is at its perfection every time(probably even after 5.0 changes).
Unlike in the western threads, most of the scholar related concerns in the JP threads are turned down by other healer job players(supported by other roles). And when Scholar gets positive updates, every other healer and supporter rages.
Nowadays, SE are more toward neutralizing this ”situation” rather than really trying to balancing out the 3 healers. The boring changes of Scholar is the result of this situation control. And they also wanted to make the job more simple for the newbies. To bring the fun back for the Scholars, western thread needs to speak up louder so that it'll get heard and recognized by the JPN side.
