How many years do you think FFXIV has left?

Well the game was supposed to be a minimum of 10 years but i honestly think it will go past that so yes we still have a good amount of time

I think that after Shadowbringers, there will be only one expansion left. They are working on another MMO and a lof of clues tend to that. So Shadowbringers will last 2 years, then a last expansion for 2 more years and their next MMO will be released around 2023. And I don't think they will support FFXIV like they're supporting FFXI.

Personal opinion but i truly do not believe that statement. The new MMO we have no clue what it will be like yet.
Yoshi and team have shown no signs of wanting to end FFXIV anytime soon. It has picked up far more players then when i first started and continues to grow.

I don't want to think about it, I just want to enjoy the game while it's still around and frequently being updated, it'll die eventually but there's no reason to worry about it right now.

I think it's crossed a high enough popularity threshold that it'll be online in some form forever; even if only as a single server in the Japanese equivalent of the Smithsonian.
I'd guess they have two major post-Shadowbringers expansions in them though, before they either make a new MMO, or the NA market loses interest in FF14.

I do this crazy thing. I think for myself. I don't let some other guy or mag or media tell me what is best. FFXIV is #1 as far as I am concerned. You can't change my mind either! Oh yea one more thing. More sub numbers do not mean anything whatsoever. There are Blizzard zombies that will slurp up any garbage Blizzard pumps out. WoW hasn't been good for 10 years.

FFXIV was released in 2010. Even if it was dead 2 years later, it was still FFXIV. So this "game" is nearly a decade old already.

From what I've heard, we'll probably get two or three more expansions after ShB. Then the game will stick around in maintenance mode almost forever (like XI.)

Something big is coming for FFXI but no details yet other then one of there video's mentioning changes for the 20th anniversary so who knows what's coming up for the game.
