To any GM willing to reply to some of these Novice Network questions.

Can we once and for all get one of you GM's reply on this.
Not only is this frustrating but its getting out of hand especially on Hyperion.

Are we allowed or not allowed to recruit within the novice network?
Are we allowed to post hunts or not within the novice network?
There should not be loopholes for certain topics and conversations either that other mentors can twist to please their justified kicks.

I am on hyperion and mentors within our server and novice network have turned the novice netowork into their own little chatroom instead of what its meant to be used for.
Biased treatment of player and mentors that know each other best create new rules along the way only to benefit themselves.

This has been going on for days and months now. Despite constant reports from number of players no real intervention ever happens instead we get greeted with the typical copypaste reply while other mentors get kicked for correcting what could be an error when you point out that something is not against the ToS and is allowed within the novice network.

Not only is it frustrating that we never see GM's intervene but its very disturbing that a mentor should have 3h of their game time deprived and probably loose out on getting members to their FC's because a mentor wants to treat the novice network as their own funzone.

People are petty. Sometimes mentors have non-stop off-topic conversations.

Then when a conversation happens they don't like they use the whole "This type of conversation isn't the purpose of Novice Network."

But reading your post, i am glad i don't play on your world. I don't think i could handle that type of NN.

Gilgamesh NN is good for the most part, there are some salty and petty mentors. But most of the time if people are having an off-topic conversation and a sprout asks a question, they will stop answer the question then go back to their random discussion.

Thats the main issue. A lot of mentors have turned it into their chatzone instead of what its meant to be used for. If these same people created a linkshell it would have been a simpler place but I've come to the conclusion it does not give them the attention they seek.

It's up to each server's NN. Also anything that can come off as spammy ie hunt train relinks most would fine it ok to kick someone for that. Also if someone asks about FCs you could send them a tell saying hey I have an FC that might fit you instead of using the NN. I don't know how it is on my server as it can make chat go by very fast, but I do know from another person's post about the NN most felt that things like hunt relinks and FC advertisement were not cool to do. Especially if they were spammy.

Let us be real novice network and the mentor system is a joke and honestly should be scrapped. Novice network is system a world chat nothing more nothing less, people who try to make it more are simply fooling themselves into think their crown holds any importance. It does not, people should accept the fact it is a global chat were people can get together and have fun.

Not necessarily true, people relink hunts in NN on Gilgamesh. Granted only S ranks, so there is that. As for FC advertising, i also think its a small issue. If they maybe made a post once every couple hours or so sure. But if they repeatedly spammed their FC then that could see that being an issue.

it shouldnt be up to each server. Not all mentors are gonna agree with one another so its better if a GM can confirm these questions once and for all.

When I was brand new a friendly Miqo'te lass came up to me gave me 10k gil and a warning not to join NN. That says a lot!
