    Putting aside that "savage" tier dungeons would get in the way of the dungeon roulette's which numerous main story dungeons are tie to, unless they offered substantially better rewards as well there would be little point to doing them and putting raid tier gear in them isn't going to happen.

    Perhaps if they were to make a "raid dungeon" that's tied to eight man raid progression, having a dungeon where they would just put another raid boss (say for example the phantom train boss would instead be a dungeon run through the train, but with mobs and mechanics that push dungeon difficulty much higher) with raid loot distributed as usual after finishing it, and a savage tier of the dungeon doing what savage tier usually does.
    It would also give them an excuse to finally make more 8 man dungeons than the MSQ roulette dungeons.

    I mean it's not likely to happen, but if they were to make much harder dungeons I think it would have to be something like this since making the standard dungeons much harder isn't going to happen.

    Because they want to enjoy things their way and no one else matters. They pay a sub so they are obviously entitled to saying how the game should be run.

    That was the lightest of sarcasm but really, it seems to be the case for more than just a few.

    I love the music, story and world of XIV. I'm addicted to housing, and think crafting is the best in any mmo ever. Meaning it would be a lot more difficult to swap to, say, another game with some but not all similar features but has the difficulty. So I'd want any additional features in XIV.

    However. People tend to forget the massive multiplayer in mmo with these wants.

    I genuinely don't get what is hard about the Burn. Is it the part where you Esuna? See, this is exactly what I meant. Everyone who queues up for the Burn has cleared Shinryu and other trials but because nothing has properly demanded their attention for almost two years afterwards they have apparently forgotten even the basics.

    Losing subs over the period in which X exists and losing subs because X exists are two very different things.

    People rarely do Mythic+ in place of high-end content. Except during targeted catchup-patches (which are themselves a whole different issue), its rewards are inferior for the difficulty involved.

    That's not to say that Mythic+ would solve numerous, let alone all, issues, though I can't think of a single post that has implied that it would be some grand panacea. Its simply an example of how you can give expansive difficulty settings as to make a content type relevant to many different player groups and increase longevity without simply giving disproportionate rewards. That idea of building content that can progress with the player, to tide over the slow output of content elsewhere without resorting solely to grinds without any engaging difficulty like Eureka, however, can be a real boon for the game.

    You're assuming that people on the forums aren't just going to pick something to nitpick at cause they had a crappy day and need to tear down someone after being torn down.

    It's just the mist dragon in general.
    The four heads is particularly bad, I've had parties that simply cannot get past that part because they're too pants on head dumb to not attack the dragon during this phase, or even worse their damage is so bad that they can't destroy all the heads in time.
    You know things are bad when I'm playing the healer and destroy a head before anyone else.

    Unfortunately I can't really blame them for not cleansing the frost dot when the devs keep adding in more things that can't be cleansed.
