    Personally, I am fine with the base game being "easy" (Read: Standard level of difficulty in most videogames) with occasionally challenges in the middle (i.e. slightly more mechanics like level 60 MNK quest). If I REALLY want to torture myself with something hard, optional Nightmare Modes (Read:Savage Difficulty) are fine.

    So I don't see the issue here. I played a bit of WoW: Classic and while I get why there are many who prefer the horrible grindfest that was vanilla WoW, it's really not my cup of tea or that of the majority of people. I prefer my games to be relaxing, not a second job/extra homework.

    And besides, level-syncing is a thing so if you really want a challenge, try finding people who'd do old hard raids like Bahamut (which to this day is nearly impossible to 100% solo because of mechanics in later turns) or even try solo'ing Deep Dungeons like PotD and HoH. There's plenty of ways to challenge yourself and the devs frankly don't need to drive off the vast majority of the playerbase just because a few people want more of a challenge.

    These last couple decades, I stopped playing games for a challenge, because I had enough challenge and stress for 40 hours a week at work. In this time, gaming to me has become more about relieving stress and burning off years worth of frustration every night before I go back to work the next day. Sure, sometimes I'll decide to maybe try something more difficult, on the weekend, when I'm not stressed from work...but the point is, content exists for all sides of this discussion. Saying the whole game is easy and should be changed is ridiculous, because I know, and damn sure SE knows, that the second they go back and make everything harder is the second they lose thousands of players. (I'd say millions, which might be accurate, but I don't want to sound like I'm exaggerating.) LOL
