I wouldn't complain with Mesomorph, but Ectomorph is something I wouldn't mind if the arm muscles were defined. But I swear when you mention muscle folks just jump to the assumption that you want an Endomorph, beefcake. Anyway, Ectomorph is the body-type for most fantasy male assassins/striders.

Honestly, I'm 100% sure their body will look nothing like an endomorph, since they even already said they'll be elezen with bunny ears. I just hope their muscles are a bit more well defined

I think it's fine to post male viera fanart in this thread as long as the proper credit is given and there's a link to the artist. People can post female hrothgar fanart in the other thread. No need to make a new one.

Note how Urianger, an Elezen, is drawn in such a way as to be quite well-built. Hopefully that is the sort of Elezen physique that Yoshi-P allows for when it comes to Viera men!

Looking at my Elezen character in the same pose, Urianger seems to have been referenced off the in-game model - though they've made his shoulders slope up more towards the neck instead of being fairly flat, which makes him look bulkier than he should be.

It's worth noting that there's no muscle slider for Elezen, so all characters have the same body model, and it's been designed with a physical fighter in mind - an endomorph body type from that chart posted above, odd proportions aside.

I wouldn’t consider Highlanders or Au Ra ‘overbuff’, simple as. You could say it of Hrothgar or Roes, but they’re much larger and, as Theodric said, no one’s really asking for that.

I think Auri proportions seem to vary a lot based on what they're wearing. Their upper bodies are bulky, but waists and legs are slender... if they're wearing form-fitting clothing. But most of the gear we've seen NPCs wearing (starter gear, nomad robes, drapey Shisui pants) hides those proportions and makes their legs seem bigger.

It’s more that the ‘child bearing hips’ thing is an illusion created by certain types of outfit. Otherwise they’re about the same size bulk wise as Highlanders. The waist is the exception.

Actually, conidering that female viera have a Beyonce stage outfit and super model proportions, I think it's very likely we will get a 'pop star' looking outfit (like, black metal thingie with very unique design, like what a pop star would wear) and a super model looking male viera, and since fem viera have female miqote copy pasted body with elezen proportions (except the necks lol) it's likely we will get male miqote with elezen height and adult/mature/graceful emotes (adult in the sense of, this isn't something a teenager will do, they look very elegant and educate)

I want them to look fierce and dignified, not like 'pop stars' or 'super models'. They live largely in isolation so their racial gear should simply be a practical loincloth and scraps of armour if it has to be revealing. It doesn't need to be a straight up copy of the female outfit.

People are forgetting the male versions are more savage than the female Viera. The males are not gonna be pop stars - they do not remotely live in the same situations and atmosphere that the female Viera do. I'm not worried about them not looking somewhat fierce. Also, hey Theo, nice to see you again.

Anything to do with a black outfit and something remotely sexy is obviously a hat tilt towards Beyonce.
