Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Man eyebrows are fun, do you like eyebrows? i like eyebrows, so many of my friends who are very reasonable ladies i might add are jealous of my eyebrows because they naturally look good despite me doing nothing to them, its a shame you shave yours i'm sure they would look great if you just let them grow. On the topic of bunnies do they have eyebrows? just curious :P

I just think that (personally) I shouldn't let my opinion not allow others to do whatever they want, specially if it won't affect me

I'm not going through this whole thread but the first page doesn't explain in any way why I should support this.

I don't care either way if there are genderlocked Races or not. This thread isn't giving me any reason to support your request because it all just seems like people whining that SE isn't giving them what they want. Not really something I want to support.

If there is an actual reason why this should be added, or why its important, I'd love to hear it and then I can actually see if I will support it. But right now I see no reason why I, or anyone else who doesn't care about Genderlocked Races, should support this idea.

You have your right not to suppor it, and we shouldn't advertise anything to gain more support, this is simply to show SE is worth it, which has already been done, now we can only wait for 2 years sadly.

Also, it kinda surprises me though. Female higlanders (what you are playing) were obtained by a thread like this

Hi you were in my thread as well. Again I'm surprised you don't care about gender locked races. When you play a female Highlander. Which didn't exist in 1.0. If it wern't for people saying "hey we don't like gender locked races" you would never get to play your current race. Think of others and try putting yourself in there shoes.

She's being quite reasonable. Especially considering that anyone who doesn't voice tribalistic support is bashed and called some sort of bigot.

No, she's simply been given the response that she should reflect on why she plays female Highlander so as to see the reasons for which others might want mViera.

Talk is cheap, in the end. It's easy to say "x being removed wouldn't bother me" to try gainsay an argument, but in the end she is playing a female Highlander and ipso facto derives value from the option being available.

I also see nothing in Taybat's post indicative of an "emotional tantrum".

I don't consider her to be a bigot. I just think that coming into a thread and claiming it's all "whining" isn't the most constructive way to try and engage those making the request for mViera to be added, particularly after having stated they did not read the thread beyond p1. Fair enough, it's a big thread, but then why approach it in such bad faith?

To answer her question, there's a variety of reasons we want Viera to be playable. Many of us don't play characters the size of Roegadyn, enjoyed the concept art they released for HW for the males, and would like to see what the elusive male Viera look like. So it's partly about player options, partly about seeing more of the world. We want them for the same reason people wanted female Viera or a bestial race - they provide another option.

The OP was made solely to make a request. This thread was made for people to show their support if they would like male viera to be added to the game. This thread was not made to convince anyone of anything, much like threads requesting emotes or furnishing items aren't made to convince anyone of anything.

However, I think people here could politely explain why they personally would like male viera to be added.
The reason I made my request is because I would like to play as one.

Kind of hard to do that when people who don't know you accuse you of having some agenda. But yeah, we should definitely keep our expectations tempered. The initial backlash when no male viera was announced really tarnished everyone's reputation.

Never said was going to be easy :P
