Did they just remove a bunch of posts from the thread?
I can understand why but I've never seen it happen before
Yep. It has happened a few times before. This thread is highly moderated.
On topic, I saw a post about this on here and I've been thinking about it for a little while now. Since you can't tell male and female viera apart at a young age, are the viera naming conventions unisex?
That line about not being recognizable until age 12-13 was to justify the age the male Viera come around to take the males.Yep. It has happened a few times before. This thread is highly moderated.

It's no different than in real life children, you can't really tell the gender of a 5-11 year old unless they dress a specific way.
If it's no different than real life children, then what is the point of adding this bit of information in?
If it's just the norm, it would not be noteworthy, yet they made it a point to mention this. I think there may be something to it. The male and female children viera may very well be indistinguishable from each other.
I can't tell the gender of a 5-11 year old based on dress, since your gender dosen't determine what you can or can't wear, specially at those ages where the male and female body is practically identical, but you are right that on puberty is when we start to see some differences. I think male viera are similar to the females, and certanily as graceful, but maybe a bit stronger, also, they likely have arround the same height, someting kinda like this:

It was just so they didn\'t have to model male kids in the village areas.

Yeah, as would be human children up to that age. It’s possible that the feature they have in mind is something they can’t explicitly discuss, but to claim this means anything about what they’re like post puberty is wishful thinking. It’s also possible it simply refers to clothing or hairstyles. So I wouldn’t read too much into it.If it's no different than real life children, then what is the point of adding this bit of information in?

Where was this stated?
I wasn't talking about that right now. I was thinking about male and female viera naming conventions. Since the genders are apparently indistinguishable when they are young, I was wondering if the naming conventions were unisex.
Although if you're bringing up male viera's possible appearance, I think they will probably be like how Yoshi P described/something like Minafumi's art of male viera. I just think that's most likely.
I think that male viera will just look super sexy and elegant to sell as many fantasias as possible to be able to cover the cost, and we more or less know how they look like. The question is will they make a waifu catgirl or a strong lioness (like they should imo)Yeah, as would be human children up to that age.
