Racial Imbalance Within Eorzea

I see a lot of people agreeing that male roes will disappear with Hrothgar coming around.
So what was the purpose of adding Hrothgar again? People seem to be defending adding Hrothgar then on another thread acknowledge how they weren't needed as they're basically Roegadyn 2.0

Where did the "Hrothgar as so different, they were needed" go now? What unique niche that Roegadyn didn't already fulfill go?

Maybe you misunderstood me but I meant that everyone most likely will have one Hrothgar you will have a portion of Miqo-te, Au Ra, Elezen, Roes, Hyur that will change to Hrothgar, except lalas because Chris Hansen and his team along with other fbi agents won't stop playing lala due to bait reasons.

Since the number of male Roes characters is really small those that will change to Hrothgar will make a difference that's why I made that statement "male Roes will face extinction".

Hrothgar might get something in the Gunbreaker questlines, but likely not a lot else until we get back to Eorzea. Viera I'm sure will get some story action because somethingsomething #fanservice.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Roes in the story though. Maybe more lalas. Couldn't really care less about anything else though.

Watch them pull a switch and have a Hroth dancer and a Viera gunbreaker as quest leaders lol

Thinking about it the potatoes have in the MSQ abit. The only ones I really know/care about is Wedge and Sisipu.

I wouldn't say Roes showing up in prominent story roles is especially rare, but they do seem to have a bit of trouble staying alive.

Gosetsu managed to get better, at least.

Confession, I'm surprised we even got Gosetsu. Hes a character that will never happen again in this story because of his race/gender. We can have numerous other human characters but more than one Roe Male or Roe Female that's apparently to much and will break the server.

At least the Roegadyns had some important NPCs. The Hrothgar probably won’t.

As usual the giant races get shafted, maybe if they were alittle thinner and shorter and had more radiant facial features that resemble anime pre teens then perhaps they'd have a chance.

Humans and potatoes are the most numerous races canonically, everyone else has much lower numbers and tends to stay in one or two locations.

That said, Roe don't even have it that bad compared to say the moon cat lads and cave elf boys.
One of the city state leaders is a Roe, and their 2nd in command is a Roe, and we've had multiple Roe in the Scions, and a key character of this expansion was a Roe.

Specifically when it comes to the story.

So let's see we have....1 Roe man, Gosetsu who had a role but now is "on a pilgrimage" which is essentially the nice way of saying "get lost noone likes you" Then we have Momma Limsa Roe lady thats 1 Fem Roe whom again had all this potential but was relegated to the sidelines just to look cute.

And pretty much everyone else is a human or a cat or a potate or a not elf cause apparently some humans just have ears so pointy they can be certified life sized hole punchers.

And of course we got Shadowbringers coming up which had 1 plot important Hrothgar in the trailer and barely any Viera.

Now I could be my usual self and say "Gahh where my Roe MEN I need my MEAT SQUARE ENIX" and while I still hold true to that, seriously we need more Male Roes in everything, I actually took a hard look and honestly, other races arent really paid that much attention to.

Usually its humans, lalas, miqs, and maybe an elf dude but thats about it. Rarely do we see any elf ladies or Au Ra or heck we dont even see Fem Roes all that much.

I mean theres Biggs from the Cid squad and while hes someone I wanna love and protect with my life he doesn't really add anything to the overall general plot as hes to busy prepping for Cid and Neros wedding in the Deltascape.

All joking aside, I'm honestly tired of seeing the basic races take over the plot. I mean for real their bringing the Stormblood girl back because heaven forbid a viera or a Hrothgar actually leas the plot for once.

Yes, we have characters who are mixed races - most famous is probably Hilda, but in her case its actually stated both in the game and in her lorebook entry that shes half elezen, half hyur.
As far as I know Gosetsu is a Roegadyn - neither Seawolf nor Hellsguard, which are the two types we see in Eorzea, but an Othardian Roegadyn, which explains why hes features differ from seawolves/hellsguards. Roegadyn non the less - unless you can show me where they said something else...?

Doubtful, mostly because it's not true.
