At least you Roes GET represented in the story. There's about a handful of Duskwights in the whole game.
So I say check your privilege Mr. Makison.

What Roe players lol there weren't any to begin with. Also I dont mind being overrun by Hrothgar. Finally an all Male race, been missing those since FFXIs Galkas.
Thank you both so much its people like you that are keeping my comments alive and healthy ♡♡ ^_^
I hope you enjoy male only hrot while it lasts, keep in mind there's a very big chance that female hrotgar come, most likely at about 6.0
I mean, remember that the hrotgar is a matriarchal race, so when they release female hrotgar, or maybe evn on 5.x as a way to tease them, expect to see the hrotgar queen a lot, maybe as a main character

And just like with Femroes, Lady Elves, Male Miq, Fem Au Ras, and Male Roes in the plot, they will be ignored and pushed to the side in favor of all those squeaky clean humans that can do wrong and stand for Justice and Peace!

Male Miqos are very popular among players. Actually, most popular option with Hyurs.
If you mean MSQ - there are reasons why some options are rare to see in story caused by lore they wrote from them. /shrugs
Ooooh, I know I shouldnt be doing this because its nothing more than a troll, but...
Merlwyb, Moenbryda, several ones involved in guilds: Thubyrgeim (arcanist), Rhotgeim (maradeur), Yellow Moon (several sidequests in Ul'dah) and Jeweled Peak (goldsmith), to just name a few.
...are you aware of Ysayle and Alisae? Two elezen ladies that are prominent in the MSQ of HW and SB, who are more or less constant companies throughout the story. You've been playing about half of the whole games story with an elezen lady at your side.
Granted, given their lore they're rarely featured in quests.
Yugiri, Sadu, Cirina, Kurenai. The HW-ninja quests has a female Au Ra as its mainfocus.
Given that they only live in the east its no surprise we dont see them in any quests in Eorzea. We see a fair number of them throughout SB though, I'd reckon. Infact we have more prominently feature female Au Ra than male ones.
...I believe this has already been covered...
At the end of the day the "racial inbalance" is because of the lore-state racial inbalance of the places we visit - we havent visited the mountain villages of the Hellsguard and til SB we didnt venture to the east to meet Au Ra and have the opportunity to include them in the story. And thats a good thing, because it allows for unique lore, customs and history for each race. Just like irl it shapes the race if they are only living in a specific place. If that wasnt the case we'd end up with races being nothing more than cosmetics. With everyone basically being human - some very tall, some very tiny and some with scales, but all just humans without a unique story behind them. In my eyes thats not something we should wish for. Each race is represented in the mainstory or in other prominent places in "harmony" with the lore of those races. The lore that gives them character and makes them intresting and unique.
Edit: I also dont see such a huge over-representation of other races... actually, when I think back to one of the latest scenes of SB - the one where everyone is gathered around the table during the meeting with Varis you actually have three Hyur, two elezen, one lalafell, one Roegadyn and one padjal present - plus whatever race your character is. Au Ra and Mi'qote are missing. And yes, thats more Hyur than any of the other races, but Au Ra and Mi'qote missing makes sense within the lore of those races, with both of them being more nomads than actual leaders and founders of nations. For the other races... seems pretty evenly split to me?

Oh there fine with players XD lol Kats infest Eorzea I was mainly talking MSQ.
And if lore truly has a hand in why theres barely any other racial rep in the main campaign then I genuanly wanna know what they are.

Lorewise, male Miqo'te are reclusive and rarely leave their tribes. It's why they weren't playable in Legacy.
Au Ra are rare outside of Othard because the few that are seen before SB (aside from players, of course) are refugees. It's also mentioned that the few who made it to Ishgard were turned away, then hunted down and slaughtered, because their features made the paranoid Ishgardians think they were related to dragons. It's a big source of grief for Sidurgu (the dark knight job trainer from level 50 and up) and Alaqa (the big bad of the 50-60 white mage quests).
Hrothgar might get something in the Gunbreaker questlines, but likely not a lot else until we get back to Eorzea. Viera I'm sure will get some story action because somethingsomething #fanservice.
I wouldn't mind seeing more Roes in the story though. Maybe more lalas. Couldn't really care less about anything else though.
