Have you used curses?

If you mean profanity then no, I don't swear in a public discussion. I may use a bit too much profanity in my day to day conversations, but I feel like a public discussion is no place for swearing. If you have to use profanity then you've already lost your argument.

Isn't the real problem with the whole Official Forums the haphazard and utterly silent moderation? I know the OF have an extremely poor reputation on other sites because of this.
The problem and this is also a problem ingame is, that it seems that they do not really work with a clear book of rules or sometimes just decide by their own personal views.
I saw how different GMs told players absolute different things ingame about certain topics.
Ask a mod if reselling houses is okay and you will get 11 answers from 10 GMs.
The same goes for the mods here. Some seem to clearly follow some rules and others seem to delete just what they do not like to be posted.
Like my example here "This reminds me of one of the male Viera threads. There was a player who posted nothing but insults, racism, homophobia and transphobia, told people to kill themself if they are so unhappy that they did not get male Vieras and the mods did not delete the posts for several days.
But mine and the post of other users telling him/her that we have no place for such hate against other people in our community were deleted for "spreading negativity" by a mod. "
Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia and telling people to commit suicide was not deleted for several days, but telling a person that this community does not want player spreading such hate was seen as "spreading negativity". And like I said, our posts were deleted after a few hours.
And this makes only sense, when we consider that a mod activly picked a side to support in this conversation and decided to mute everybody trying to tell hate spreading people to "shut up".
It is the problem that some mods seem to decide what to delete and what not by their own personal views.
I did was also once a mod in a forum for TV Shows, around the size of 3000 Users.
And the rules were simple and clear.
"No personal opinions".
- if someone says something you do not like or support but that person does not break the rules: don't delete
- if a person says something you support, but breaks the rules: delete it
But with my example it felt like the mod himself/herself hated the whole male Vieare topic. So the whole toxicity and hate was not deleted for several days, while every try to make those people stop were marked as "spreading negativity".
Yeah, this one is indeed not perfect. You are right. Lets say he gets told to leave and never come back again. Because the owner does not want such people in his/her Restaurant.I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure that's not a good example scenario.
The first guy wouldn't be protected against hate speech laws, or perhaps some other kind of laws punishing his actions - but by the same token, the other people aren't protected against assault laws if they physically retaliate.

Then maybe you got banned for spam.

The ff14 OF moderation is the strangest thing I've encountered out of gaming forums. Threads that would've been and should be sent to off-topic stay in the general discussion section. Locking threads is a rarely used method for inflammatory topics. Bans are handed out for unclear reasons that have nothing to do with things that are more obvious (like targeted profanity for example).
And no matter how many times this populace has asked for clarity on what's not supposed to be posted or what's more banworthy, the mods won't answer.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

They should just post warnings in threads like "I will lock thread if spam continues", or "deleted messages that were spam please do not continue", etc. like every other forum ever, it helps posters self moderate.
Your other issue is that mods here are paid so they're not invested in the forum itself like mods generally are on most forums.

If you think this forum is "bad" when it comes to moderation: It is not.
The worst ever is/was the GuildWars 2 forum under Gaile Gray (which left the company two month ago).
She, Gaile Gray, was absolutely hyped the community for no reason, probably the female counterpart to YoshiP. And everyone was giving her a free pass for everything.
She barked at us customers (upon a report that the World vs World had a troubled linking, she left a snide remark about "Is it a real bug or do you just don't like it, eh?"), left condescending answers (upon some person said the moderation is like walking on eggshells: "Use better judgement in future!" Eh, it's a personal opinion...), left the community alone when serious trouble started (Kung-Fu tea promotion turned from "worldwide" to "U.S.-only" over night. Community Manager Gaile Gray submerged and kept a low profile since then in all the threads! Way to go!) and went easy on her bootlickers that could post exactly the same as me, but my post have been against the rules for no apparent reasons.
Whenever I logged onto the forums, I had a "Warning" by a moderator. And when I checked the responses, I was so bamboozled that you can even bend those useless, all-purpose rules so much just to get my post off the boards.
Guess how I got a forum ban? Because I said that Gaile Gray's stories about her personal pets - her cats - do not belong in the devtracker of the game. (She posted a lot of off-topic bullcrap that ended up in the DevTracker as she was an arenaNet employee.) So if you opened up the Devtrecker, you would see: "Moo jokes", "I like violine music", "my cats have a good personality". That forum ban got me so pissed that I uninstalled the game on the instant - that's why I am here.
So far, I could post even borderline delete-worthy messages (about my sucidal toughts in the "Is there a place for me?" thread) but no ban yet.
So if you think this board is bad, no. It is not. Getting infracted daily is a common thing over in the GW2 boards, and people openly state they went to Reddit because of that...
