This is less than a drop in the bucket for SE. It's a very successful forum thread but it needs to be weighed against the cost of the request. When you consider the gear updates alone 1.7k subs (many of which are certainly not conditional on the inclusion of male Viera, like mine) certainly doesn't begin to touch the cost of implementing what would amount to another race.

Realistically I think people need to start to recognize that the people actively requesting male Viera are indeed a minority. I think there is a very strong chance we won't see male Viera or female Hrothgar beyond NPCs. People need to stop being so sure of the idea that they're coming, looking at this through an unrealistic lens doesn't help anything.

By all means keep asking, that's fine. Keep this thread going. That's cool... but maybe stop spreading the false notion that you have any sort of backup for the idea that the other genders are coming.
I would advise not using the likes to dissuade anything purely due to the existence of this thread,

why? because it had years on the forums yet it only had 403 'officially' wanting them, yet that was deemed highly requested yet it is not even 1/4 of this thread so if that was highly requested male Viera and female Hrothgar are beyond that lol.

As for tempering expectations yes people do need to do that its why i am in the 6.0 or bust camp because if it isn't 6.0 and they will have limitations like no headgear, they won't do it because they would have to start working on them in ShB for 7.0 anyway due to the large amount of gear that would be updated up to then
