We're getting male Viera that much i can guarantee. if there's something that bothers Yoshida a lot it's when the game has a glaring problem which a large portion of the fanbase patiently waits for. No one's rushing him, we just ask that the Viera race gets fully implemented, not just 50% of it; it reflects badly on Square-Enix for a game making big money, their number 1 or number 2 money-maker. They know the competition can steal their thunder out of nowhere any one of these years.

You can't and saying things like this only contributes to the anger and backlash when something that was never promised isn't implemented. That outrage is generally the thing that paints the complaining group (so... this one) in a very bad light. Stop this.

I can only speak for myself, but I wasn't angry. I was disappointed we weren't getting male viera, but understood that male hrothgar and female viera made the most amount of people happy. Although with the hair being tied to hrothgar faces, I'm not so sure anymore, but I digress. I was also very grateful the dev team listened to the players and added female viera which I will happily be playing as on an alt. I don't expect male viera here and now, but I hope they get added in the future.

Is there a debate going on currently? Absolutely. But...I don't think it's quite as heated as you believe, nor as widespread. There is no overall harm being done to the community just because a race/gender variant wasn't added. I'm sure a lot of people want male Viera, but I don't think people are at each others throats all over the place because of their absence or peoples' desire to have them. This thread and the people posting within are, while a decent gauge of community demand, but a drop in an ocean. I haven't seen any heated discussions regarding Viera in game anywhere at any time. The only place I have seen a discussion being had is here on the forums.

Well, I do get your point, but I (on zodiark) have encountered on game various both bad and good experiences related to the genderlocks, and I've seen quite a bit of ppl turn toxic because of this. I was talking for myself after all, and I agree that it isn't the genderlock by itself, but I have found a decent amount of experiences based on this personally

Yeah nah. Do you think that any of the issues they mentioned could have absolutely anything to do with adding a single model with 2 different animations? Do you think they need to refit 10k pieces of gear for 2 random NPCs? I doubt it lol

I see your point honestly, but I think that if for whatever reason SE dosen't make male viera for 6.0, there will be another riot (maybe even greater???) regardless of wether he says this or not, and I think that the amount of people who riots because 1 person said that he thinks we are getting something, are a very big minority. It's kinda like the ppl saying 'YOU ARENT GETTING THEM END OF THE STORY' When not only dont they know anything about that, and they could release them whenever they have them finished, be it 5.1 or 98.x, but we have been confirmed that there is indeed a chance we will get them, and usually companies would have said a strong no if we werent getting them, just like they did for the children and for missing genders on ShB
