Except the female viera we got looked nothing like the concept art they had for the most part in terms of racial gear anyway and lack the actual fluffy tails they had, they're pretty much just fran. Even still we have a quote from Yoshida for what he thinks viera men would look like in his personal opinion, and as we know from Blue mage, when he describes something in an interview that's often how it ends up. A lot of the lore written about male viera was written by Matsuno, who recently in a tweet also stated he thought male viera would have 0% body fat and be built somewhat like boxers.

That being said again, they'll look like what they'll look like, we just really don't know and getting up in a tizy over it won't change that. Stating what you'd like them to look like and posting images of that idea is a lot more productive than tearing down other people's concept of what they'd like them to look like(save for child-like bodies, as again those won't exist).

I don't know the female Viera concept looks like what we got. I mean they didn't need to make concept art for the female, they knew what the female would look like already and just copied it from FF12. They weren't going to deviate from the FF12 models. It's more likely to follow Matsuno's imagery anyway as the original creator - the respect Yoshida has for him is pretty intense.

We can't forget that the concept art Yoshida also said they were still 'too cute' for him. So expect something manlier than the concept art. Which surprises me because I thought the concept art was pretty manly, I wonder how fierce/masculine he wants them?
