The original intent of the thread is still there us side tracking with a topic thats still related to the situation doesn't ruin the request for male viera (female Hroth)
It will always come full circle
I support the addition of Male Viera.

I can't confirm the "mistranslation" thing about the wolf face, but I think it may have been a mis-perception - the person who described it (Yoshida?) might have seen the work in progress and saw a face that he thought looked like a wolf face relative to the others, and remembered-and-described it as such.
When the recent Letter From the Producer came out with the screenshots of Viera and Hrothgar characters wearing glasses, a number of people said "oh, that's the wolf face they were talking about!"
Personally I didn't see it at all, and thought it still looked cat-like, but it demonstrates that some people would interpret it that way.
And that, I highly suspect, is how we got the "wolf face" description in the first place.
(Just wanted to point out that there has been stuff for example the housing timer where they told us that we will never get one, only to do it anyway. So they are not evil just human, but that also means that they can be wrong too.)
Anyway I wonder if they will say anything on the liveletter at all or if that was it. I just hope that if they dont state anything about the missing genders that they at least talk about the restrictions...especially the missing hair for female Viera and male Hrothgar.
@zeylos: Maybe its better to just ignore such posts? Giving them an answer is just giving them more attention.
I agree, it dosen't really help to feed the ppl who come here only to mock us.(Just wanted to point out that there has been stuff for example the housing timer where they told us that we will never get one, only to do it anyway. I do think that they will probably say something about the missing genders, considering the datamine has been found and all, I do think they might say that they are coming, look forward to 6.0 and beyond or something like that
Yes, people posting that they don't like seeing the number 600+ pages are just ghosts in my eyes, not worthy of any kind of reply.(Just wanted to point out that there has been stuff for example the housing timer where they told us that we will never get one, only to do it anyway. As for the new revelation about female Viera and how incomplete they are and will continue to be, this is just more proof that Yoshida is losing touch with the playerbase. I don't know if the shareholders were the ones that forced him to attract Elders Scrolls/WoW players who prefer beastial races but this is really backfiring on them. Both races are looking very lazy and very incomplete. And this is NOT a case of "there's so m uch gear to add," this has nothing to do with gear and everything to do with how difficult it is to create a beastial race. Look at how low quality and how many times they had to redesign Hrothgar, you can tell they were having trouble creating them. They even admitted back in the day that adding beastial races is hard to do.
They really messed up both races, but Viera moreso, because of this decision to add 2 really different races at the same time. I honestly would've preferred if they just made the race that they really wanted to make, the Hrothgar and made both genders for them. When you go against what you want you usually mess up, it seems to them adding Viera wasn't something they wanted and more of a chore to do so.
In ending, I'll say this, this bodes very badly for adding male Viera since they still haven't even finished Viera/Hrothgar. And even if they decide to add them they'll run into the same problem where female Hrothgar will take so many design drafts and so many 3D drafts and time spent creating them that it'll extend the normal time it would take to create "human" races. Right now I only see male Viera (and female Hrothgar) in 6.0 or really never. We're officially back to the genderlock/limited races era of mmorpgs.

The new interview confirms no more hairstyles for male hrot, but maybe a few new faces sometime in the future, and a few hairstyles for fem viera. I think that for male viera they'll also give us racial hair only and for fem hrotgar they'll have hair over fur
