You almost made it OP, almost.

People are discussing the changes and if they are good or bad. They are doing it because they love this game, they love their classes, they have invested time on this and want to keep playing it.

That is all well and good, not to mention completely understandable. The problem is the amount of people unable to differentiate between "discussing" and "melting down as if their entire life depended on it". The expac literally isn't even out yet.

That's because people naturally seem to have a dislike for change. But then when it's there and they try it, most them go "oh this is actually not so bad". Hence why I try not to judge things before it's even released.

I think a big thing here is that it's already possible to get a feel for some of the changes. There's a difference between not thinking the Lily system is as good as it should be after the changes (still better than before, but literally anything that did anything would be) and the removal of like 75% of SCH's dps abilities. You can already play a healer with the rotation SCH will have. AST has that. But it made sense for AST's dps rotation to be minimal because they had to balance healing, dps and the card system. So those who played SCH because they liked playing a healer who had a real dps rotation and could put out decent numbers have every reason to already be upset about it.

the healer forum, they all busy with how to adapt with his new makeover skill, busy discussing the best way to utilize these new change.

dps section went crazy with mch change and the dancer is already getting "sexy fanart" treatment lol

the only complain i see is everyone want more hairstyle for viera and hrothgar, either these people is really chill or they are complaining but in a very polite way.

Most of the critical JP players were banned from the forums. No one is happy with healer changes. They're terrible in almost every regard.

everywhere i went (this forum, reddit, youtube comment, gaming forum) all i see now is just complain about every class, change, new future, everything.

the negativity is just overwhelming at this point, and we are not even touching the game yet.

i can understand with the genuine complain on certain class makeover (*cough* AST cards *cough*) but the others?

to be fair, most healers especially AST are happy. People are just mad they didnt get their way so they are stomping their feet and trying to justify it as "constructive feedback"

please do not spread out false information just to play the "victim" card. Their forum rules are very similar to ours. Man even though ff14 has the best community, i guess internet is the internet and toxic behavior will always be found on the forms.
