You've kind of hit the nail on the head there. This is exactly what healers did not want, and when they choose to balance rather than creating a new healer, you'd expect a lot of resources and time going into the balancing part. They could have kept healer identities in tact and still made more effort to balance them. All they really needed to do was give WHM some form of raid utility to bring it in line with the others.

I guess the bottom line is that if they were going to forgo creating a new healer, those same resources should have gone into making the role feel good for at least another 2 years. Gutting and making healers identical is not anyone's idea of fun, nor is it creative in any sense.

Understand what you mean I never main a healer so won't be the best person to post about the healer job new changes advantages and disadvantages all of you that do main healers should post as you doing here so they have their feedback in time.

That's because people naturally seem to have a dislike for change. But then when it's there and they try it, most them go "oh this is actually not so bad". Hence why I try not to judge things before it's even released.

Which is why I'm mostly sitting back and not saying much about it. I'm not happy with all the changes but nothing makes me feel alarmed. I'm still very much looking forward to ShB.

Haven't looked too closely at DRK, but PLD only needs a bit of tweaking.

Intervention always cost gauge, did you mean Cover? I agree cover shouldn't cost gauge, the 2min cooldown is fine.

You can't move for Passage, but Paladin gets Passage and Veil. GNB only gets Heart of Light.

Even if Paladin still has Veil, now he has a heavy contender utility wise and GNB will probably deal more damage than PLD sealing the deal, not counting that the faster pace will atract old DRK players now that DRK is no longer the fastest tank and has a very streamlined rotation (new DRK rotation looks like the WAR's little brother and sadly thats not a compliment :/ )

If i had to put as they are id say an all around tank setup would be WAR/GNB or WAR/DRK only if its magic heavy content.

If we continue the current trend the PLD extra utility is unnecesary(but apreciated) and simply was prefered because DRK was on an even worse spot( thats was the reason of DRK constant buffs since a while) and double WAR affected LB gauge

I'm saving my whining till there is something to whine about other than vids that clearly state there may be changes. Then I will keep my whining to my self because we all know there are always combat over hauls each major expansion. That and I main RDM and they look golden :P

Well, RDM is basically the same with the upgraded aoe rotation that almost every class got plus Scorch on single target rotation. The new 10-10 expender and the melee strike that shares cd but has 50 potency less than the jump back are situational at best, but if you liked RDM youll like the new one albeit is a shame since its missed chance to get something different. Having an almost identical rotation for 4 years (2 SB +2 ShB) can get quite boring eventually

everywhere i went (this forum, reddit, youtube comment, gaming forum) all i see now is just complain about every class, change, new future, everything.

People are discussing the changes and if they are good or bad. They are doing it because they love this game, they love their classes, they have invested time on this and want to keep playing it.
My suggestion is that if you can't deal with people debating something, please refrain from the forums and reddit. Seriously, do not acess it. Do not read or click on posts that are discussions. The debate and discussion are important to the future of the game and shouldn't be silenced. Far more important than your personal feelings about complaints.

Discussing something is not "overwhelmed negativity". Criticizing something is not "negativity" and people shouldn't stop voicing their concerns just because someone reads them and feels.. bad? About it, or whatever is your feeling.

Yeah of course. You'll have people writing texts and texts about the changes and you'll have people that will just scream AAA MY CLASS IS RUINED, not every feedback is elaborated. Because that's part of the process of dealing with new changes, specially if those changes are impactful or big.
These people will ALWAYS exist. Making a thread talking about them is pointless, even more pointless than a person talking about what they think about the class change in a dramatic way.

You're browsing the main sources of discussion of the game (reddit and forums) after they released the infos about the classes on the expac... I mean seriously, what do you expect? Even if the changes were amazing they wouldn't please everybody anyway and there would still be discussion about this, which is not bad. It's normal.
If you want everyone to act a certain way, just talk about it with close friends of yours that probably agree with you or are deal with things the same way you do when talking about stuff. Do not go into a place full of different people with different mindsets and tell them "you're making me feel bad!!". I mean, c'mon.

I have seen enough expansion launches to know that this wave of negativity happens every time class changes are announced. At least in the west it appears to be common among a lot of mmorpg players to break out in a rash if their class changes. Of course some of the complaints are warranted but others make me eyeroll so hard.

People make threads that criticise players all the time. This is just another one. Nothing new. Let people vent here. It's harmless.
