If you speak fluent Japnese why not ask Matsuno? He's very friendly and may be willing to respond in regards to his mental image on the height of a male Viera.

Ah, that makes sense. Though he did mention that this was his own headcanon with the slender, zero body fat build. Part of me thinks he would respond but as long as it's phrased that it's his own envisioning and not official. On the other side, I'm sure he'll come out with such information himself in due time.

I honestly think that this might be Matsuno taking ideas for male viera's design to help his friend, Naoki Yoshida, since they have to plan what they're gonna do until 6.0 by next months and it's quite likely that male viera is one of thos things (to be released in 6.0)

I don't think anybody dismissed him, and as for the greenlight he simply said that he didnt mind at all, which I personally see as a greenligth to do as I please (most of the time) Also, I think that the reason why Matsuno is being so talked about now is simply because he told us how male viera are gonna look, and that gives for a lot of discussion. I shall rephrase though that he didnt 'greenlight' them then, but that he gave them permission to do anything they wanted

matsuno has stated from the very beginning on very clear that he had nothing to do with the exclusion of male vieras. nobody dismissed him ever. people started citing his posts about his headcanon vision of male vieras. which is naturally a very interesting thing to male viera supporters. it just gives material for discussion, nothing more or less.

Viera and Hrothgar seem to have a similar sex distribution as Miqote. Therefore it makes zero sense for one of them to be playable in both sexes and the others not.

The lore of the Ronso in 10 or of the Viera in 12 does not matter at all, because this is 14 and the races lore is expected to change to better fit into the world.
