yes definitely been couple of occasion where they have bitten off more than they can chew (eureka)
but i don't think that's generally a bad thing they want to go the extra mile for fans even if its a struggle

Honestly, I think that for instance with giving 2 races instead of one, they eneded up not pleasing nearly as many people as if they had only did 1, and that is due to 2 reasons:
1-Many players are heavily let down by the fact that they won't be able to play as the gender they want of their race, which as we have seen has cause heavy commotion on the community and a large amount of backlash, even causing them to consider adding the other genders, which would have not happened had they only done 1
2-The fact that the heads are so different means that not only do they have limited customization (female viera's customization is ok, could certainly use more diverse hairstyles, but male hrotgar customization is perhaps the worst customization we have in the game, based on not being able to even choose something as basic as hair) and that they will not be able to wear various types of headgear, which will specially affect new players that might think: Why can a female miqote wear a hood but my female viera can't?!
Just because its not good now doesn't mean its not gonna be good at launch. You have to realize that there are going to be a bunch of new hair styles that are probably gonna be in the Aesthetician that are not in the CC in the benchmark for both Viera and Hrothgar.
I still have hope for the female Vieras but Hrothgars have their hairstyle fixed with the face. So they would need to change the ingame way to change hair otherwise people would need to pay money to change the hairstyle and that would also change the face. Which also increases the "same face" syndrom for them quite a bit.
In the end even if they are restricted I still want both missing genders for these races in the game and maybe later in other expansion they could expand on the character creator. (One can dream right? v_v)
At a first moment, when I thought about the headgear, I believed they had problems with making the hoods be wearable with the animations of viera's ears. Now, as I can saw on benchmark, the ears don't even do animations, they are more statick than the bunny ears that we can buy at GS.(...) 2-The fact that the heads are so different means that not only do they have limited customization (female viera's customization is ok, could certainly use more diverse hairstyles, but male hrotgar customization is perhaps the worst customization we have in the game, based on not being able to even choose something as basic as hair) and that they will not be able to wear various types of headgear, which will specially affect new players that might think: Why can a female miqote wear a hood but my female viera can't?!
I don't have much knowledge on these things, but (correct me if I'm wrong) could not they just make a "cut" on the hoods, and pass the ears throught it? Plate armours ok, they will need to make a "mettalic ears", but cloth... Well, I don't know how hard is to do these things.
I really hope they add some details on these races (Hrothgar doesn't have ears animations too). It's a tiny detail, but when I see two big bunny ears without make one movement in the animations, it's weird for me
Perhaps there will be animations, but not on the benchmark, and I'm crying for nothing too haha
