I'm not changing my post.
I'd support this even if it wasn't regarding the missing genders. I think they're desperately rushing and this will have consequences in the long run. They should either be given more staff, more resources or more time - or all of the previous if it results in a healthier game.Same. I don't mind a temporary dip in updates and patches so we can get male viera and female hrothgar added. It would be worth it to me in the long run.
Keep up the support, guys. We're in it for the long haul. Also, if you guys would be ok with patches/updates coming out slower in order for the dev team to implement male viera and female hrothgar into the game, post that here. Let SE know that content coming out slower would not bother you if that meant male viera and female hrothgar get added to the game. This dip in content would only be temporary. It would probably go back to its regular pace once male viera and female hrothgar were added.
I support this as well, and I don't understand the reasoning for not changing the post. There was another image that had a slim/elegant/handsome male there instead of the child Viera that was paired with the female. We have official confirmation they will not be adding a childlike Viera. It seems silly to have it there when its impossible to have. - Edit; Senn explained why and this is the image that I liked paired with the female Viera, edited by Senn.

I really do get the feeling that a slightly longer patch cycle (and not only short time but constantly) would benefit the game more. Gives the devs a bit more time to breath and think and if we get good content for each one then we should normally be busy for a time and for the rest we can still take a break (their decision with the genderlocks for example will change my sub plans: Instead of trying to always sub like I did for years I will do the lowest amount and then take around a month of a break). I can understand that you might want to work on stuff even in your free time if your are passionate about it, but there should be times where people should so something else next to work or you will burn out sometimes in the future. And maybe this is were its going right now. Maybe not even a health burn out but just a creative one.Same. I don't mind a temporary dip in updates and patches so we can get male viera and female hrothgar added. It would be worth it to me in the long run.

And with this tight patch cycle they are "forced" to stick to stuff that can be recycled into "new" content. Eureka as another slightly changed Diadem. HoH as a slightly different PotD, treasure maps that are often just the same just with different background. Its a bad circle. They need to produce something in those months (which might also mean that they might ignore some feedback on it) while its still often not enough to keep a lot of people busy because its often either something that can be done in a few hours or is for niche playerbases.
Why is the original post misleading? Because of that one (official!) artwork that shows a child Viera? Which is only there to show how they could look like as children. Otherwise most of the people in this thread want adult or young adult people. Only a really really small amount have posted a handful of pictures with truly young looking characters, others just wished to either have more feminine ones or a body similiar to Alphinaud, which says nothing about the age because a man in our world could also look like that. Most people here argued more about slim or not slim, how muscled they should be and most fanarts are clearly adults. So why change anything?

Yoshida did mention that more staff or money wouldn't necessarily help. It was a bugging and QA problem...? Not sure what QA is. His concern was that if they were to add male viera and female hrothgar into the game, it would slow down content or something - which I would not mind if it meant we got male viera.I'd support this even if it wasn't regarding the missing genders. This is why I said I'd support it even if it wasn't Viera/Hrothgar linked ^^Yoshida did mention that more staff or money wouldn't necessarily help. It was a bugging and QA problem...? They're spread rather thin and a longer cycle would be more beneficial for every single feature/update they release.
QA is Quality Assurance~
I think it's good that the original is there, it shows that the devs addressed some of the concerns raised by the community surrounding the initial requests. It doesn't make the people asking for childlike Viera look any better but it does show that the devs are paying attention to these conversations and because of that they've been able to evolve.
I like that they're listening to both sides of the discussion, it shows that they care what the playerbase as a whole thinks instead of just a fear of the loudest voices.
It's not misleading. I'm sure that if we do get male viera, it will be something using an modified elezen base, and it would be elegant, handsome, and slim. Staff looks through the threads, not just the first post. At one point I was willing to edit, but I was suddenly mobbed by people from every direction telling me what to add and what to take out. I'm not going to change my OP anymore.

You know, I always felt that whenever I got the newest gear, something else would come out to replace it rather fast. I never really got enough time to bask in my glory. So I don't think it would hurt to slow content down a little so it doesn't feel like a gear treadmill. I mean, it still is, but we get to enjoy what we've earned for a little longer. If slower content meant I would get to play as a male viera, I really would not mind.
