Would you rather have 1 new race or 2? What if they did no new race? What would the backlash be then? And what more reason do you want? As long as it's not some entitled "its 2019 blah blah blah" I'm all ears.

People got TWO new races, and they're outraged. It makes literally zero sense from a logical person's perspective. Dont like it? Maybe go make your own MMO and handle that workload yourself and make whatever characters you want. As is now, this "genderlock" outrage is just asinine. Why are people trying to push agendas in a video game ffs. Jesus christ lol.
There's no agenda here, so I'm not sure where the conspiratorial "they're trying to turn everyone into demi-rabbits... or worse!" mindset is coming from. The only agenda I see here in this and the Female Hrothgar threads are people voicing displeasure to SE and hoping that the company responds positively to them. Whether or not some folks have unrealistic timelines or design philosophy is moot since at the end of the day, people want to feel heard and listened to. Seems like most have settled down to wait for a tidbit from the upcoming live letter, which is pretty reasonable. Might be some angst and frustration while we wait but if it bothers people, they can ignore the threads. Most of the so-called "outrage" is well contained in the two mega threads now. You have to actively come in here looking for a reason to get mad to make post like yours, which I don't really understand.

There are a lot of principle arguments on both sides, so it can get heated. There's no fact-based consensus to rally around so it comes down to a clash of pure opinions, which is messy and often circular, and there's no one who is clearly right or wrong based on stance alone. I get that there are a lot of people who are upset and tired of hearing about it because of a variety of reasons but you guys have to understand that it's as simple as not clicking on the thread to come back and poke the hornet's nest. By all means leave your piece about how it's not a concern to you and you hope SE focuses resources on other types of content. That's totally valid and I get that feeling (imagine if they could go back and revamp character creation for all the races...!). But to come in here and start swinging with "you guys are whiny brats" and "stop being ungrateful, make your own MMO if you don't like it" contributes nothing of value to the thread. You can take your own advice at that point- create a thread about how you like the status quo and are fine with SE's decisions. Might not get a lot of support, but it's a much more constructive way to give feedback than going into a request support thread and insulting everyone who wants the thing you don't.

Also, there's no obligation for customers to be grateful for what we got. We don't have to like the outcome even though SE tried their best to find a compromise. Letting them know we are unhappy, and keeping that interest sustained, lets them know there is a need they can fill to keep us satisfied (i.e.: paying) and perhaps entice new customers. You can bet that even if they come out and say "we can't do it, and that's that" the question of MALE BUNNIES WHEN??? will haunt them for the rest of the game's lifetime, possibly even into a new MMO if they make one- demand is that passionate because of how they split the races. There's an underserved market for it and quite frankly if YoshiP hadn't played coy about it, folks might not have been so riled up to the point we are now.

Lastly, you might be satisfied with your options. That's great, and many of us wish we could say the same. But some folks want the options present so they can use them and better reflect their own ideal character. If aesthetics and gender didn't matter to you, why did you create your character the way you did? Would you have been happy if Au Ra women were not present or more beastly like the concept art? Would you switch to playing a male if there was no female option you really cared for... and would you really be happy with what you settled for? Not everything is about gender and identity politics when it comes to asking for the missing genders to be added. Some people just want to play what they like because that's their preferred aesthetic. And in a game whose "look" is a large selling point, why wouldn't folks be vocal about a missed opportunity to serve them? Especially since SE had publicly considered it as an option before going a different route?

tl;dr: getting mad about others being mad about a thing you don't care for is not productive or helpful, please stop
