Ah well at least the ball will get rolling again and people can start getting houses again.
i dont get why FCs apparently deserve mediums and larges more than private players. having a larger house doesnt provide any more unique FC benefits than a small does. ya'll are just greedy.
I mean, considering FCs can house up to well over 100 members at one time, having a medium or large would fit for that many people to reside inside it regularly. While for a solo person, a small is just right.

i have literally never seen that many people in a fc house at once and my old fc was very active, large, and held regular events. our mansion was never even half full.
if anythin fcs and personal home plots need to be split completely and should not share the same wards should just create 2 wards 4 fcs in each housing zone
Housing demolition was reinstated with this recent patch.I'd say the main reason why you are having problems getting a house for your FC is because housing demolition is still (I think) paused. Once housing demolition restarts again, with a bit of determination, you will be able to get a small house somewhere and then be able to transfer to a better house if you want.

This is false. Back when housing was released for FCs, Yoshi-P said in an interview that personal housing would be completely different (and much more affordable). They changed their minds and ended up stuffing personal housing into the FC wards system. That was a giant mistake, as we've seen.
However, I disagree with the OP. I don't think removing personal housing from the wards at this point will be a smart move for SE. I'm in favor of introducing an instanced housing system alongside the current ward system with enticements for players to move (such as purchasable upgrades, more garden space, etc). I think this will ease things up in the wards and allow everyone to own a house on every character without issue.
The original plan was to always include private’s housing. Which to me back in the day sounded like they were leaning towards some wards for FC and some for private(regardless of other diffemces). However, even if they kept them separate like that we would still have this mess as they would still utilize the same space. They could invest in more hardware and add more wards the demand is high enough. This is false. Make/buy dummy FC, still essentially have personal house. Problem not solved.
When i started, housing plots were only for fc and there where only rumours that in an upcoming patch it will be enabled for individual purchase, as the devs were still considering the matter. When one walked around the housing districts you can just click on the placards dreaming of when housing will be made available for all, it was a different kind of torment back then so to speak.
