Remove private housing from the game. Free Companies need prioity

I can’t reply to everyone but why do you need a private house? You can buy a room in a FC that is yours to sit in and craft or whatever. You can buy a apartment also. I also am not in any FC. My girlfriend runs one and I do pop in to help. Even if they went to all FC housing only it still wouldn’t be enough for everyone but the housing system would actually benefit more people. Wards would be lively instead of the ghost towns they always have been.

Why does an FC need a house?
Buffs can be bought at your GC (not grade 3, granted) and airships arent in any way essential content either. You're also wrong in regards to the stable: personal homes can totally use them and each apartment-complexe has one for every tenant in said building.

Providing FC-rooms for all members? Apartments serve the same purpose AND you're not facing the risks of being removed from the FC or having the FC-house auto-demolished.

I "need" my private mansion as much as my FC "needs" their private mansion. The main function of housing arent aetherwheels or airships, but being able to decorate and I, as a private person, enjoy that as much as our group of friends did (...okay, I ended up decorating both mansions in the end, because the others lost intrest...)
The gardens are obviously also a thing - I can plant what I want in my own garden and most of the time its actually stuff to benefit the members of our FC.

And let me tell you about ghost towns... back when wards were FC-only and there were like... 6 other houses in that ward bought up? THOSE were ghost-towns! And even then you had "private" houses - people just made single-player FCs and bought houses that way.

Sorry, while I agree that housing has a lot of problems, making it FC-only wont solve them. An FC doesnt "need" a house anymore than a private person either. Your benefit-argument falls flat on its face, since FC-rooms are out as benefit (since we have apartments) and stuff like FC-gardens and airships often dont benefit the majority of people in the FC, but only the few people at the top.

PS.: I enjoy decorating so much that I got several of my friends to buy houses aswell, had them make me a tenant and decorated them. We always found open plots, even on a rather populated server like Odin. Decorating is a part of the game I really enjoy - and I'd rather do that in a space that isnt shared with ~40 other people and potentially take away their chance at it, have to work around their ideas or simply "destroy" what they've built.

Sorry SE you shot yourself in the foot on this one and to the players with a private house just buy a house in real life if you want one.

Plz tell me you know the difference between real life limitations versus in game limitations? I can’t turn my house into a strip mall, then a Korean bathouse, then into a haunted house on a whim. That would be like billions of dollars.

But I can do that in game.

First fcs cant be trusted I'm sorry but they cant ppl are way 2 sensitive and kick for really lame reasons I'm lucky i found one ran by someone who isn't. but most fc leaders,admins are crybabyish lol.

next apartments are nice but you literally hardly have any space for anything plus you cant design your outside rpish.

I still remember when they said in a live letter that personal housing would be completely separate from FC housing. Wish it was true.

My FC and I bought our house when they released it so we got lucky. I can totally see why people are frustrated now...sadly though I doubt it will ever be properly addressed.

This is getting ridiculous and I am going to upset people but it is the truth. Majority of the housing in the game is owned by private players when there are a lot of Free Companies that do not own one. You can not use Chocobo stables, Airships, or Aetherwheel actions without a house.

I got to here and stopped reading. If you buy an apartment you totally have access to Chocobo Stables. Aetherwheel actions, while nice, are not needed. You can get the same buffs from your GC (there are buffs from squads that give you the same as the Grade 3 wheels). Any Grade 2 or lower buffs can be bought by your GC, so you don't need to make them. That brings me to airships. While they're fun to play with and you can get a few really cool items (house skins, minions, & a mount) from airships/ subs, for the most part they aren't really needed by anyone.

As far as Free Companies needing priority. They got that when new wards were added last time, and will probably get priority again if new wards or new housing areas are added in the future. I'm sorry you're having a rough time getting a house currently, but wanting to take away everyone else's toys because you can't have one is never the right approach.

Wards would be pretty empty if only FCs could buy houses. I saw empty small plots in the Goblet all the time on Hyperion before the auto-demolition timer was turned off. Some would stay open for days. They only just turned the demolition timer back on and people are running around trying to find houses because of the server moves, so its a bad time to try to get a house. It will probably settle down in a few weeks and you can then probably easy get a small Goblet house. once you have a house, you can then relocate to another plot, bypassing the random purchase timer.

I own a Large Personal on Hyperion. I do not feel sorry or guilty. I worked really hard to earn the gil and even harder to get the plot. I worked my way up through relocation.
My FC has a Small, they would never make use of a Large, or I'd likely have worked to also get them a bigger house.

Your frustration and how you see the game, does not dictate what others should and should not be able to do. I put a lot of time an effort into how my house looks. Something I really enjoy and could not do if it was FC only and fighting with 20 other people on how the place should look.

I also garden a lot, for many reasons. In the end if you really want a house you have to work at it , and sink the time into it to get one. It takes a lot of stalking and looking around but things do open up.

Right?! It takes a certain degree of dedication. Nobody is simply entitled to housing, and it's meant to be exclusive. It's a reward for those who DO put in the time and energy.
