Remove private housing from the game. Free Companies need prioity

This is getting ridiculous and I am going to upset people but it is the truth. Majority of the housing in the game is owned by private players when there are a lot of Free Companies that do not own one. You can not use Chocobo stables, Airships, or Aetherwheel actions without a house. There is no advantage or perks to owning a private house other than just to. There is no reason for one player to own a medium or a large plot either.... My FC has been trying for a few months since swapping servers to get a house so our sprouts can train chocobos and actually use the house. It is impossible to compete since private housing comes up first when you click to purchase. Then you have to scroll down then click when a private buyer can just spam the click. Im not making this post for me. I have owned medium private in the past. I demolished it because there is no point in one person to be that greedy when so many Free Companies are without one. I just can't stand to watch how ridiculous this is now. If there was enough plots for Free Companies to buy a plot and for there to be private I wouldn't care. There is not though. Any ward you go to and look at you will see majority are private. Ever ward is dead when you go into them because people buy a house and use it once a month. Sure its going to upset a lot of people but who cares by this point. As long as half of the Free Company features are tied to a house. There should not be private housing in the game. So either remove private housing and refund the players who bought them or add a ton of wards(which won't happen). Sorry SE you shot yourself in the foot on this one and to the players with a private house just buy a house in real life if you want one. Leave the housing to Free Companies who need one and can actually use them or just start a Free Company and buy one then..... Once again I am tired of seeing people say they deserve a private house when there is no reason to own one at all.

lol k? It's not about having an "advantage" with a private house... It's about having your own place to customize as you see fit. Try doing that as a lowly FC member when there are 50 other people, all with different ideas of how to decorate. If the choco stables are that important, there's always apartments.

Also, housing started as FC-only. The wards literally never filled up, so they allowed people to buy personals. There are probably more people playing now, but still...

They always intended for housing to open to private houses. They just gave FC’s first shot at it when it was launched.

This is false. Back when housing was released for FCs, Yoshi-P said in an interview that personal housing would be completely different (and much more affordable). They changed their minds and ended up stuffing personal housing into the FC wards system. That was a giant mistake, as we've seen.

However, I disagree with the OP. I don't think removing personal housing from the wards at this point will be a smart move for SE. I'm in favor of introducing an instanced housing system alongside the current ward system with enticements for players to move (such as purchasable upgrades, more garden space, etc). I think this will ease things up in the wards and allow everyone to own a house on every character without issue.

The original plan was to always include private’s housing. Which to me back in the day sounded like they were leaning towards some wards for FC and some for private(regardless of other diffemces). However, even if they kept them separate like that we would still have this mess as they would still utilize the same space. They could invest in more hardware and add more wards the demand is high enough.

Pretty much.
They even said they wouldn't interfere with FC housing, they'd be cheaper, etc.
But then I guess they saw not many FC's bothered. So here we have the system in play now. I see you're on Hyperion with me Strifer, there's sure to be no houses available but keep your eyes open, they come up now and then. Just gotta be swift and determined.
Lastly, even if you don't like it, aim for a house in a place you may not want. House transfers are easier than buying a plot you actually want.

Most of the housing woes right now are, I believe, due to the over-long auto-demo pause. 6 months is ludicrous! We just got a taste of the initial few demos, plus all the transfers, but the real change will be seen in about a month and a half. Many plots should open then.

SE actually already made the effort by giving FC's the priority on first purchases of new housing for a time period.

When i started, housing plots were only for fc and there where only rumours that in an upcoming patch it will be enabled for individual purchase, as the devs were still considering the matter. When one walked around the housing districts you can just click on the placards dreaming of when housing will be made available for all, it was a different kind of torment back then so to speak.
