One thing I'd like SE to keep in mind is that females getting a lingerie so thin that I can only cover half of their intimate parts means that for males we want something just as revealing, please SE don't pull TERA armor and if u want this classically handsome thing someone is suggesting just use whatever other glam

PS: Why is my gpose stuck in an endless animation? Its the one where he throws up the sparkles. None of the options in the gpose menu is ending the animation...

Being pedantic for the silliness but you neutralized the result by adding 100,000 to -100,000. You should have said "+100,001 need it!"

Heck we could even argue if the three races are truly counting as slim or not but that would only make it even more obvious that we have more than enough men with muscles in the game.

Well it'd also be a pretty selective line of argument, intended to produce a specific result. Since I could also start nitpicking with the "big" races, since there's a pretty wide gulf between Au Ra and Highlanders on the one hand and Roegadyn and Hrothgar on the other.

I honestly don't expect them to be any bigger than male Au Ra, and probably somewhere between an Elezen and an Au Ra, maybe leaning more to one or the other - by the sounds of it, Elezen.

I think that what could happen is SE releases male Viera 5.1-5.2 and female Hrotgar 1 patch later. That being said, SE please don't do this I'd rather wait for everyone to have everything than having a specific section of players treated worse than others

I mean I want boy bunnies and female beasties in the game as much as any of the thread regulars but we'd be lucky if we'd get a confirmation they're coming by those patches. And if they release them during the expansion, they'll most likely be released separately.

I'd just like to remind SE and everyone of this thread from way back when about the inclusion of male Miqote, female Highlander/Roe and the devs response to it....

It seems the discussion about male Viera now, is no different from the discussion for male Miqote back then....yet SE chose to implement them....this was also at a time when they were still trying to save FFXIV and their resources must have been far smaller than they are now.

So if missing genders were added way back then.....I see no definitive reason why SE can't do the same thing again and add the missing genders for Viera and Hrothgar!

Coming from SE I think that we will get them through the expansion and most likely they'll rush male Viera since it will make them a ton of money and then they'll make female Hrotgar when they can. I myself would only play as male Viera but I just want everyone to be able to have the full race they deserve

We've never seen male Viera up until this point and with all the discussion and buildup since they made it clear they weren't adding them people have varied and strong opinions as to what they should even look like to the point that I don't think SE adding them would even make this topic end.

Like imagine if they added them but they were giant Roe-sized muscle-men. That would satisfy one niche but leave others out. There is no reason to assume their clan differences would vary beyond skin tone either, SE won't be making a bunboi and a buffbun.

This feels very much like part of the playerbase trying to make their own race and they can't even agree on what it should look like.

Also because I still see it from time to time why exactly are some people saying that we have enough slim races thus Viera should be muscular too? Lets see: AuRa, Highlander, Roes, Hrothgar..all of those are muscled.

Au Ra are ruined for some by the odd shape of their hips, which makes them look odd in quite a lot of glamour. Highlander men are plagued by a lack of eyebrows, which is off-putting to a lot of people. In addition, they suffer a real case of 'same face' since there's only really two specific faces that you see used. Roegadyn are too muscular and are built like refrigerators. Which is the exact same case with the Hrothgar - though they, at least, have the benefit of being the first 'bestial' playable race to compensate.

Muscular men are also quite popular. Adding a muscle slider serves as an excellent compromise, though from a realism perspective Viera men are going to be at least somewhat well-built by virtue of spending so much time jumping and running through their forest.

Imagine if they never added male Miqo'te for similar reasons.

They sure didn't seem to take issue with adding female Viera as waifus, though.
