Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

If just an assumption was enough to make you sign on the dotted line then, call me heartless, but I feel like you kinda fooled yourself. I mean, if it was that important to someone, they really should sure it was a certainty before pre-ordering. But see, from my perspective, the people are getting exactly what they were promised in the pre-order: the little bonuses. Once you've redeemed it, you can't take it back.

To be honest, seeing just females in the trailer set off a bunch of alarms in my mind. Staying tight lipped about male viera would be so weird if they were in the making already.

Lets run down the list of things that happened.

Viera reveal trailer shows only females and they animations.
The final Viera concept art revealed at the end only has female Viera. This is strikingly different than how they revealed the last new race which has both genders.
They say nothing about the males until Q&A iirc.
They say that there's a NPC in game right now that sheds some light on Male Viera...
That NPC legit says something to the effect of "they simply do not exists to us".

By all means if this was a topic you're invested in you got your answer. It was most logical to assume the Viera were female only after that, but many people (myself included) deluded themselves into thinking that they would separate the reveals for some reason. Then there was the solid af leaker who said 2 races as well as a newer leaker who said both would be 1 gender AND the Hrothgar leaks and some (myself included) convinced themselves that they would release 2 races with 2 genders.

If someone really wanted Male Viera they got their answer at the reveal.

Tbh I get why hey made Hrotgar but it made literally no sense to make a race that will earn then almost no money

Why do people think making a race is in anyway profitable? It's not, if it was they wouldn't be saying "this is as much as we can handle, please understand". Hell, it makes even the most profitable Mog Station stuff harder to do cause now you gotta animated more things doing the emotes and model more things to wear the glam.

New races are an expensive undertaking to give players more freedom, tis all.
