    I was on Bard, but the job shouldn't have any effect on the warp mechanic.

    OHHHH ... I asked some FC members about the fight ...

    Apparently there is an AoE circle that is supposed to be drawn on that Suck-in and Warp to Monolith mechanic. However this is not drawn on the screen for me, and also not drawn for another FC member.

    ATTENTION GMs and Devs ... Please look into this issue!!

    That mechanic was also inconsistent for me as well...


    Had to do it several times and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
    I'd be standing next to the pillar and get one shot.
    I'd even have time to walk behind the pillar and still get one shot.

    And I was playing on my samurai, which is in i380 with a few i390 pieces and vitality on the accessories.


    I also did not see any aoe indicator for the full arena one.

    None of the mechanics require you to break LoS. Like Noctis says, it's a matter of Warp Striking circles around Garuda, it's just that not-Void Death has really precise timing for how XIV is under the hood.

    Last thing I could suggest is maybe try to just bypassing the mech with pld's 10 sec invincibility skill? But you have to do the mech i think 1 or 2 more times in the fight so...

    You're gonna have to master that timing /shrug

    I was WHM when I beat it.
    Like Daralii, I died my first 3 tries and only survived the forth, even though I didn't do anything differently. :B
    I did it on the same Monolith Noctis was at all 4 times.
    I didn't see any arena-wide AoE for that part either.

    lol what? I just cleared it without any effort at all, just paying attention to mechanics and reading the on screen text. There is no RNG at all, unless you've got terrible lag, then there isn't much SE can do about that.

    Thank you all for the replies.

    Okay ... I think I have a functioning workaround until SE fixes some rendering / timing issues with this thing.

    I went with the suggestion of using a PLD, and timed the use of Hallowed Ground to about 2/3 cast on that troublesome mechanic, while trying to teleport away with Noctis' ability. The other part of succeeding in this was to kite/face Garuda and AoEs away from Noctis.

    Hope this helps anyone else having issues with this Event fight.
