FF15 Event -- "Monolith Warp" Mechanic is still broken

Even after a fix to this morning's Garuda server 90002 error issues, there is still a serious issue regarding the Monolith Warp Mechanic 1/2 way into the Garuda fight

No matter what I do ... even if my character is literally at or even behind the rock ... Garuda still one-shots me and the "Duty Failed" message appears every time.

I've done this now half-a-dozen times on 2 different toons on 2 different servers / data-centers.

Can anyone recommend a fix for this? ... Or can a GM please escalate this to Technical for a solution?

I noticed that you have to pick the monolith on the other side— NOT the one Noctis is using.

I got killed twice before I noticed.

I was only taking 2K damage from facetanking the AoE so mistakes scarcely seemed to matter.

Maybe the stat scaling for BLU is broken or something (Figured I might as well make the most out of the class if they were presenting a combat duty).

I faced tanked it with SCH with no issues either.

Anyone who dies at this point are simply responding to the draw in itself and timing their Warp strike with it. However, to succeed you must react to the cast bar.
Its just a little mistake that costs your life :3

Failing wouldn't be so bad if not for that fact that Garuda has WAAAAAAAY too much HP... I near fell asleep chipping away at her with a teaspoon until she does the AoE. Will try again later I guess, going to do something that isn't irritating for now.

That's because you have to time your attacks with Noctis in order to deal a lot of dmg to Garuda. Doing link strikes speeds up the battle a lot.

As for the OP problem, have you tried going to the monolith opposite to the one that Noctis jumps to? It seems that's the one you have to jump to, also stay behind the monoloth before the AoE goes off. That's how I survived and I also had a lot of trouble with the fight till I tried that.

If you still have problems after that, try posting in the bugs forum.

Can't take a look while at work.

If it works the same as regular Garuda battles, it doesn't matter where you are. It only matters how many rocks are left.
