Custom tailor Viera and Hrothgar gear to their appearance

You never "specifically" said that the older ones shouldn't get it, but you emphasised Viera and Hrothgar, and said (copy-pasted from your original post) "it would be nice if they were more unique than the races we have now in their fashion". Therefore, suggesting that only they should get customised gear.

If everyone gets new custom gear, great.

But not "these two races get something special" while everyone else misses out.


I've been through the same struggle keeping my male Au Ra dressed in things that suit him, but it would be a great deal more frustrating if other races got special treatment and race-specific alterations to gear, but he doesn't.

Seriously, if they haven't made any effort to adjust clothing for Au Ra build that direly needs it (eg. simply stretching the Hyuran model for collars and pauldrons until you get things like the Lv70 SMN relic that stabs him in the face, instead of modifying them to fit properly) then I don't see why they would make extra-special new designs for these new races. Especially if they haven't even got helmets sorted out.

It would be nice to have it for everyone, but not so nice to have it for just the new races while the others go neglected - unless they intend to go back and modify the others as well.

(And of course if they did modify it? People wouldn't be happy about that either because they wanted the standard version and they're stuck with the altered one.)

No one is stopping you, if it's so important to you that you would bash this topic just because I place more importance on my interests than on yours obviously it is something to be vocal about yourself.

Also, i edited my original post awhile ago to have this be specifically vendor sold glamor partly for that exact reason, some people want to look the same as everyone else, and it would be more practical than just replacing existing gear sets

And beyond that I can very easily argue that you can already dress like most any shown culture or race in the game as the existing races, for example if you want to look like a U tribe miqo'te the gear is available, if you want to look like a knight from Ishgard the gear is available, if you want to look like a pirate or gladiator the gear is available, if you want to look like you came from Doma the gear is available

What I want to look like is a /Viera/ who started out wearing an outfit custom tailored to herself, based on what her people typically wear, which was then upgraded to look fancier and more class appropriate because I'm a much higher level now while it is still recognizable as the same fashion as the original, I'm still the same person, I'm still retaining who I started off as, I'm just much more awesome now and added to it. "I'm still me, I'm just a better version of me."

It would be amazing for everyone to have, I'd love that truthfully, but to be honest besides a couple of exceptions none of the race outfits until now have really stood out much from what's already available, and I can very easily find a much more preferable look for those characters very quickly, male au'ra aside, and as I will be playing a certain character it's selfishly not really my focus in this topic as I'm more concerned with a character that I will have who will be difficult to shop for for much the same reason as my au'ra was, because I couldn't dress him up without taking away everything I liked about him to begin with

which is a problem that I've never had on the "vanilla" races except for lalafel not having shoulders.. as the others a similarly built and wear similar clothing, thus I didn't see a need to have them be a focus here.

Truthfully I'm fully expecting that when the Viera are introduced there will eventually be outfits you can buy for them styled after whatever they wear where they are from, but it would be nice to have it tied into achieving something beyond how many millions of gil you have or how much you're willing to shell out in the mog station to look unique while still being early on enough to not be literally locked behind multiple expansions, thus---I'm level 50, now I can get a nice outfit for my Viera that I worked on while still retaining some individuality! woo
