Removing your financial support from a product based on personally viewed bad and questionably unexplained decisions is not blackmailing the devs. No one asked for genderlocks, they could have released these races differently without this backlash.
You personally might not be interested in Male Viera, Female Hrothgar or just the outright removal of these gender locks, but to quote a wise person...
Trying to gain over personal agenda by threatening other source of income is a form of blackimailing. It the end, it is either your way or highway is non sense
Please do unsub if you are trying to make a point; but I will see you soon after one month or in the expansion. This is a fact that never fails me in WoW
do you keep track of every such comment, and can confirm which posts got deleted, and who got banned and when?
no they aren't fine with such comments, and it def spread hate and negativity.
So hey...out of everyone talking about unsubbing....who here is actually unsubbing?
And if you are unsubbing from the game, does that mean you'll unsub the Forums to?
Because...if you arn't going to play or support the game, then why use its forum?
At this point I think ya'll just enjoy internet fights.
It is like every WoW youtubers who rely on making money off WoW but threatening to quit expansion but they never did
I actually unsubbed earlier today. I have played this since 1.0 and its by far my favorite game, but I just dont like the direction they are going with this expansion and decision.
We've already been down this road before. There were originally three genderlocked races. People voiced their opinions, and we got female Roes, female Highlanders and male Miqo'tes.
The devs said they were done with gender locks. and yet here we are....again...
I honestly will look for any hope to resub, I WANT to play this game. But I just cant agree with this. All it would take is a dev response about time constraints, or some explanation as to why they pulled this.
In the meantime, their silence has been noted.
Sometimes it's smarter to maintain a status quo. But to a lot of us, disappointments have been piling up and this was the last straw. It's really not that hard a concept.
